Question. Old partial cover rules had a pretty severe penalty to hit, but all impacts were on the punch table. I used to use this to extreme effect using SRMs and LBX auttocannon to "scromble" pilots into retardation with successive hits. The new system (which i believe came out either during or shortly after the move to clicky-tech) instead makes the "to-hit" modifier less steep, but now you roll locations as normal and the locations obscured by terrain are automatic "misses" (presumably from the weapons fire instead "hitting" the terrain feature in question) Which rule do you prefer? (My clan-busting Enforcer with the LB10-X was FAR more successful under the old rules)

2021-09-27 05:23:15 +0000 UTCIt is with great pleasure that I come to say I was I who raised the chess tournament fundraiser to $1337. I shall now enjoy the VOD while inhaling my tuna.

2021-09-26 16:05:00 +0000 UTCI can't wait for the audio books. Also thumbs up for Catalyst loving and listening to their fans instead of ...well treating them like some other Game Companies do. Question: Pre 3050, Panther or Wolfhound? Also what would be your choice of light mech from that period?
2021-09-24 16:35:33 +0000 UTCI'm really curious when the audiobook is scheduled to drop... Because audiobooks have held my sanity together during long lonely days at work. Manged to get through all six books of the dune chronicles and all seven of the dark tower series. Plus the gray death legion trilogy. Also starship troopers

2021-09-21 18:35:40 +0000 UTC"I just show up in places and be me." This just in: Tex is a cryptid. Question: Lore conflicts aside, what do you personally think of Stackpoling?

2021-09-20 13:42:08 +0000 UTCQuestion: You mentioned Gilbert and Sullivan would it be possible to get Goat to do a patter song?

2021-09-19 16:57:07 +0000 UTCEvery time Tex talks about Colorado Springs I realize how much I miss it. But there is no way it’s still good. It’s totally nostalgia.
2021-09-18 23:36:41 +0000 UTCOn the subject of creativity, Jon Cleese has some powerful advise.
2021-09-18 14:25:26 +0000 UTCThe Tao of Tex... would that be... a Texbook? :D
2021-09-18 05:35:01 +0000 UTCYou're doing great work Mike, THANKS!
2021-09-18 05:14:38 +0000 UTCPfft... I'm being selfish, hundreds of years from now when someone watches one of your vids and go, "Hey, that's cool, didn't know they had good shit like that back then.", they will see my name in the list of supporters for you...so... I'm living vicariously forever thru you... so yeah...
2021-09-18 03:46:39 +0000 UTCHey Tex, here's a funny. Comcast owned PrimeStar back in the day. Wouldn't that make them ComStar?

2021-09-18 00:45:22 +0000 UTCQUESTION- Dear Tex, I've recently acquired a Mossberg Patriot chambered in .243 and am looking to expand my collection. I have my heart set at the moment on a Marlin, either the model 1894 or 1895. What are your opinions on either of these firearms and/or is there a lever action you would recommend over the Marlins. As always, thank you.

2021-09-17 23:20:39 +0000 UTCThanks Tex for the weekly updates. It is nice to listen to 30-45 minutes of authenticity each week. Sometimes it's raw, but it is always coming from a real and genuine place. I so look forward to your musings. Thank you for being you, and for sharing that with us.
2021-09-17 22:37:49 +0000 UTCI came off the fence and glad I did. This is an investment into quality shitposting from my perspective.

2021-09-17 22:31:55 +0000 UTCHi Tex. You sounded very upbeat in this episode, which is great after all that nonsense. Question - Did you ever play any of the Battletech MU*s (Mud, Mux, Muse etc..) back in the day? If unfamiliar, they allowed you to pilot a battlemech in real-time using the power of ASCII graphics.
2021-09-17 20:04:11 +0000 UTCThank you Mike! 😊❤️

2021-09-17 20:00:07 +0000 UTCIn the words of Kamina from Gurren Lagan, "Believe in the you that believes in you." idk. That's just how I felt listening to this. Other than that, 'sup, bro! Woohoooo audio books
2021-09-17 19:40:52 +0000 UTC@Tex I was one of the ones that decided to support through Patreon because of all that nonsense. I had wanted to do it sooner and I wish I could do more, but we've had some ... challenges lately. But I am more than happy to be an enthusiastic schmo in the background because I like not only the Battletrch videos. But the SS13 videos and the find raising is genuinely inspiring. As in just really encouraging to see and it reminds to try my best for those around me where I can. Keep up the good work!

2021-09-17 19:36:24 +0000 UTCIt's funny, I got those books as part of Catalysts Kickstarter and I started reading Lethal Heritage and I was reading it with your voice in my head already narrating it. The brain does funny things. Also, thanks for doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes Mike.
