WELCOME TO THE END OF SEPTOBER

Concept: One of those big-ass 8x8 SCUD launchers, painted with wizard art, and the spell is YEETUS DELETUS

Question 1 (of 2): As you were a child of the 80's and 90's much as I was, what were your go-to cartoons growing up? For me it was GiJoe, the thundercats, and Ninja Turtles. my local TV stations didn't carry Robotech I sometimes wonder if this didn't inspire my particular libertarian bend, as these shows (80's cartoons) were about small groups of extra-governmental entities solving problems government couldn't. Question 2: What would a black pants legion childrens cartoon look like?

Big Nick Rethemeyer

you have mentioned the grey-tide and the seth-tide. But has there been a Tex-tide?

Imperator Lizard

Question: Are we getting a sort of christmas dump? I look forward to SS13 every year at christmas. The latest dump of SS13 was glorious

Dark Azial

Lol Tex I meant that as a joke. But it would be hilarious if you managed it

Michael Kimberling

It's great to hear from you, Tex! Be safe, be good. QUESTION! You are a Solaris Jock with the Light Mech in 3063. What Mech would it be and how would you make it completely awful? Consider that you have a lot of C-Bills to bling it and access to all of the coolest stuff.

FlyingTorpedoWhale

Very much looking forward to the Warhammer episode. Though I do think its ironic the name of the mech in the first TTB episode ill be here for release has the same name as the hobby I left to pick up BattleTech. Tex, how do you feel about the modern BattleTech ascetic? I got the core book for the game and the old art has a massive variation in mech design I think is missing in modern iterations like MechWarrior 5.

Tex, you beautiful, beautiful bastard, I'm all good with my bills.

MW4. That hits me right in the feels. <3

Packrat

Question at the end. God I love war game Red Dragon. That is one of the playlists I’ll revisit on your channel time to time because none of my friends are really into it. What did you think of the South African DLC announcement?

Noah Leno

Just a thought here, you mentioned you'd like to see a series of Star trek b squad doing damage control in the wake of cpt kirk. Well there's kind of a TNG equivalent to that with the starfleet corps of engineers novels. I acknowledge they are geared for teens but looking them up theres over 60 books now! Im gonna kiss the wife goodbye and marathon these every night for the foreseeable future. Whats ADHD?

Christopher Barnes

Strategy is some of my favourite games ever made. Dune and red alert were where I cut my teeth in computer games and I love them to my core. If you are hunting for some, perhaps something like Battlestar Gallactica Deadlock? The toasters need a kicking.

Big Mac

Keep up the good work, Tex! But please, pace yourself.

I' m paying five but didn't even think about this.

I think paying a whole $5 a month to have this name in the credits is worth every cent.

I didn't realize they'd let me write a thesis for a profile name and now I'm channelling my inner Fallout Boy

Also super looking through to how you react to ROBOT PONCH time in MW5.

Really needed to hear some Tex-voice. Glad to hear the update!

Your content comes out precisely when its supposed to. Don't ever rush it out. Your content is far superior to the vast majority of content creators because it's not rushed out. Keep up the damned good work, but remember to take time for yourself. I'd rather see content trickle out and know that you're taking care of yourself than see a flood of content and you burn yourself out.

I had figured the rest of the Legion had locked you out of the house to force you to take a rest period.

Tex: "Guys, please jump ship. Adjust your pledges; it's the end of the month." Community: "Haha, donations go *Brrrrrr*". Looking forward to the Warhammer, but please take your time and don't forget to treat yourself occasionally. Doubly looking forward to the Charger. I find the history and backroom dealings that lead to these monstrosities just as interesting as the mechs themselves.

YAY Mr. TEX!!!!!

Scott

Do you think that there's a place for the Urbanlord, even though it was technically just a joke build? Because I really want a 70 ton Urbanmech.

Urst_

Oh, thanks for the reminder Tex! I've been meaning to give moar. Go get youself a nice steak and/or bullets.

Cpt. Wedge

Tex, you rock. Warhammer will be on time when it arrives.

I appreciate the effort you are putting into the books you are reading for Catalyst. I've had supposedly professionally done audiobooks that were read badly. And I have told the publisher/ author about it. In person. "I really like the books you and Mark wrote, but the first four audiobooks sound like you found a high school drama student and paid him in Cheetos." He did not disparage his own product but told me he could not take it down until a contract expired. Take that as you will. From what I have heard from you, I have no reason to believe it will be less than professionally done. Indeed, even though you consider yourself to be an amateur YouTuber, your TexTalks Battletech series is of professional quality and not on the low end. While you are self-conscious about your voice and how it developed, allow me to try to shift your thinking: You have been given a gift. That it was given later in your life does not matter. You are using it to do something good and entertain others. That voice of yours has raised how many thousands of dollars in charity? You're doing great. The Warhammer video will come when it's ready and not before.

James Schardt

Question for you Tex. What about post Fed Com Civil War do you not like? Apologies if its been asked before. Please keep up the good work. You're Tex talks Battletech really helped me during a stressful couple of months.

Bronze Goose

Ahoy to the Mightest of all the Texes. Just had a random question go through my head, and need to expel it against a wall lest it cause bursting. What's your favourite charity. Thanks for all your hard work and for making it easy to point some friends who are having a rough time towards something enjoyable.

Nothing to forgive, busy is good as long as you're looking after yourself as well. Ha, good comment on Ruger. I like them but sometimes you get a "called in on your day off" job done on them. Question: If Catalyst does another Kickstarter for BattleTech would you like it to advance the timeline and move to the ilClan Era or revisit another historical era? (e.g. Amaris Coup, FedCom Civil War, Jihad)

Sean O'Donnell

That sucks that there are rude people out there demanding things while being rude. One day these people will learn the value of hard work as you said. Have a great week Mr. Tex

Jung's Shadow

Hope all is well Tex! Signed The Urb-Atlas guy.

Tex & coffee in the morning... perfection.
