DISCLAIMER!
There are certain differences in this version of the story, due to changes we ended up making for the comic version. Most significantly, at this point in the story, Jonah and Mercy are a couple. This disparity with canon is the main reason we haven't shown the handful of other prose chapters we have, but we've decided that it's still an interesting glimpse into the framework of what has become the final story for you to see in its unchanged state!

Certain changes were made to our initial plans for the story when we got picked up to be an original, although this one was probably the most significant. The idea is that extending the course of their relationship makes for a more compelling narrative for readers! Luckily on the grand scale, nothing about their personalities really had to change to accommodate this. - MJ
