Question: Tex, I have an armament philosophy for battleships and battlecruisers in games where one builds such vessels, and I would like to hear your thoughts on whether it is soundly-reasoned and/or would work in meatspace. For every class of gun, you halve the caliber, but double the number. For example, let's say you have a main battery of 6 x 16" guns. You would then have 12 x 8" secondaries, 24 x 4" dual purpose, and 48 x 2" AAA. Maybe you could also have 96 x 1" AAA, but that seems like it would get a mite crowded.

Tex, firstly hello from north louisiana. I hope youve found some time to relax and breathe between work, videos, and normal emotional drain that is the holiday season. Now on to my question. I've inherited an old English sidelock side by side and I'm not exactly well versed in firearms other than what you normally pick up living in this part of the country. This particular piece was made circa 1868-1878 by Charles h maleham in Sheffield. Any advice on where to go to get it checked out/conserved/reproof? Thanks

Hey Tex, I've also got two questions for you, if you're so inclined. The first is, when you guys are making Fireteam Whiskey or Far Cry With a Cop, do you have a script of any kind when you record those, or is it something you just record live while playing and save the highlights? Second, after the fun of having the Tex/Grandpa Tex voice packs for HBS Battletech, and the audiobook, have you and the podcast crew ever considered doing other voice pack mods? For example, Xcom 2 would be perfect for Mike's signature "AW FUCK" when things go wrong and the aliens do dickass alien things. Hope y'all have a good thanksgiving and keep being classy!

Ahoy-hoy, Tex. Is there precedent in the Battle Tech universe of mech pilots behaving like they are still in their mechs while not in the cockpit? Similar to astronauts behaving like they're still in zero-g and dropping things, but for commands done through neurohelmets.

The gatekeeping comments are interesting. I was inquiring about entering a Catalyst sponsored tournament in central Florida and was told 3D printed models are not allowed. I had hoped Catalyst would be more open minded especially with their supply chain issues. But I also understand this is a way to promote their product and brand. So I wished them the best and will continue to play with jelly bean stand ins with my buddies.

You can never go wrong with a 1911. I bought a Rock Island Armory 1911 about 15 years ago, it's my daily carry, has been a good, cheap, reliable pistol. Also, don't buy cheap magazines. Chip McCormick shooting star magazines are great.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I also try to be kind as a matter of course. Being a jerk doesn't usually get you far in this life. Also, I have the same issue with support: When I get affirmation or compliments I don't even know how to handle it. I'm slowly getting better, but it is still a struggle. Keep strong, man.
