One More Turn o' this Marble - WELCOME TO THE END OF THE YEAR

RECORDED on 3 Hours sleep. Contains rambles.

I've never been concerned about how you guys spend the Patreon money. Once the money leaves my hands, I'm not in control of it anymore. I usually don't have a lot of choice on where my money goes but here I do. I know it will either be used for Mike level technology, which is awesome, or on hookers and blow, which is also awesome (and for legal reasons, not a responsible choice). Either way, I CHOOSE to let you weirdos do your magic with it. Also, it seems a bit presumptive and entitled to bitch about you doing voice work when it has nothing to do with Patreon or getting sold Freedom Water (tm) or some such nonsense. Maybe people should stay in their lane a little bit.

Honestly the first time I came a tumbling into your channel on YouTube I was a little repulsed by the awkwardness of your channel. I couldn’t tell if you were pro humanity or pro capitalism, so I decided to listen to how you spoke, to give you a chance to be you. And finally I realized that you were just being you, a caring human with no shits given as to what the YouTube corpos said. I saw that your principals were played towards humanity not the capitalist ideology, of course we’re not perfect we live in it. So this society is what it is and we survive as we can. This year I got spit on, lost a family member, and had my wife lose her actual mind and comeback to a new normal. But I listened to your stupid rants that weaved from gaming to Amazon and autism and talking about stores that sell nukes to urban mechs. I realized I felt better, I felt a little less sad not a recovering feeling just feeling better. Enough not to lay there and stare at a ceiling with sadness wondering if my wife was coming back or a stranger, or now after so much time has passed since that if the asshole that spit on me was worth smashing to bits or keeping my job. I realized your ramblings and talks about battletech made me leave this day to day and pretend I was just some guy listening to this insane profesor talk about the mech I was gonna pilot. Pew pew.. thanks is what I’m saying, thanks for letting me escape. I’m glad I could give you a little of my cash donation to help others, and may you find your hand ever steady and your heart true

If I learned anything this year, it's DON'T GO IT ALONE! You will get financially, morally, mentally and physically DESTROYED! A little piece at a time, then chunks at a time. Make/find a group of like minded people and TEAM UP! Here's to a stronger 2022! To change and to making this marble better for us all.

Question - did you all do this one too? https://t-shirtat.com/shop/the-knife-fight-city-cinematic-universe-shirt/

The giant metal thunk of your desk for some reason made me smile and think “yep thats something Tex would have”

Michael Kimberling

Howdy Tex, thanks for all you and the wonderful folks in the Legion have been doing this year. Y'all have been doing some truly amazing things and inspired great acts of kindness

Thanks for all you and the team have given over the year.

This decade has had its up and its downs, but as that one floaty boat guy once said, Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead! Keep on truckin Tex and we shall stick to you like a pig pen to a certain rubber bath toy.

Happy holidays, everybody!

Questions: 1. What is your favorite non-Texas warship? 2. Do you think the more vigorous forms of thermite would make a decent bursting charge?

re: soundproofing "we figured out how to half-ass things" ie. there's nothing more permanent than a temporary fix re: pretty okay coffees If you've not heard of them, you might look into a Jura machine, or something similar. I swear, this thing turns even mediocre beans into a damn fine cup, and refurbs still have the lifetime warranty in the event that something breaks. A bit pricey, but I live on coffee and have found it entirely worth it.

That ending... Nice Tex and have a Merry Christmas and nice End of the Year 🙂👍

Best wishes for you and yours! See you in the new year!

Happy Holidays! hope you have a better year in the new.

Happy holidays, people. Tex, thanks for your content; it's gotten me through a lot of isolation and depression the last few years.

Thank you for the response. Stackpole was my intro into the battletech universe. This makes me extremely happy. And now I know what to keep my eyes peeled for. Happy holidays.

Tex, Patreoners, whoever is reading it. You're doing awesome work. Happy holidays and may your days be bright and filled with shitposting. I'm gonna go spend a few hours over the holidays taking care of the unhoused in the area. Starting rant. If you follow trigger warnings, there is a mild drug trigger following. If anyone out there has friends who are users of....shall we say illicit substances, pick up a naloxone kit. If it's free (is in Canada, unsure about the states....quick Google says probably not, but check with your local pharmacy and addiction/treatment centre) It makes a huge fucking deal to someone if they need it. It can literally be the difference between life and death. And it's not just junkies. Or the homeless. It's the quiet guy or girl at the party who decided to take a quick pick me up from a friend, and didn't get the well mixed batch, but the heavy concentration of Fentanyl. Or it's the guy fresh from out of town who doesn't know the ins and outs, and just scored a bad batch. It's your friends, your coworkers, your loved ones. It doesn't matter why they're using. Have a kit, be trained, save their life, THEN get them treatment. Sorry to be that guy screaming at the sky. We deal with about 4 deaths a day from accidental poisonings in my province and it wears on you. Be safe, sane, and happy hols.

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, and restful holiday season, Tex. Thanks for everything you do.

Christian Stafford
