An Audio Update and the Roadmap Ahead...

Folks, Here's an Audio Update and the Roadmap Ahead. Some raw stuff, from the heart, but it's as honest as I can make it.

Also some people think that my updates have been me writing "Update" and completely disregarding the fact it's an AUDIO UPDATE.

I find it easier to speak than write sometimes, especially when I spend all day writing at work.

Fun fact, I found this because I was looking for a crash course on Clanner history so I could explain it to my gf...

Take care Tex! We support you!

PowerTulip

Keep up the good work and do not let to bastards drive you down. Also it was sad Invasion USA did not win any awards.

All Ones

No need to apologize for being a human being Tex, please put your well being first and foremost. Everything you make is quality and as far as I am concerned, investment in this endeavor has delivered 100 fold. Production wise, now that the render PC has been upgraded, do you see other areas where you could improve efficiency within the larger project timeline?

"All hat and no cattle" NEW PHRASE TO USE. But yeah, if you made BPL stickers I'd give it maybe a week before one showed up on the White House.

Daniel S

I’m excited!

Thomas Avila

If you make stickers let me know. I drive a truck and go from GA to Vegas then SOCAL back to FL weekly. I could drop a few hundred a month all over the southern US.

My problem with solid rounds in space combat is the level of kinetic energy you can generate in a vacuum. I can't even think of a material or construction process that can hold up that kind 9f force.

Dopeskone

I mean, from an IS perspective, the Batchall would probably be like "wait, who are you guys again?" Because as a reserve clan, they never really fought anywhere in the Invasion before the Big One.

Adam Koslin

Comment: I support you as an independent artist and from the slice of you that is public is a good and genuine person. Question: my group is running the entire Tukkayid scenario from the source book and need some good trash talk on Clan Diamond Shark. Any suggestions?

Maxx31

I like the idea of a BPBS (Black Pants Broadcasting Service) That sounds like a lot of fun.

James Detmer

(Also I would absolutely slap some BPL stickers in weird places if given the chance.)

The complainers and slanderers can go pound salt. Good things in this world are precious few, and the work you guys do is one of those precious few, and not just the production but the whole overarching entity.

All of us have faced some truly horrible shit in the past two years. You have faced more than your fair share, and I am glad you are going to take care of yourself and be mindful of your needs and boundaries. Take care, and be well. The rest can wait.

Quality is worth waiting for, so don't sweat it about the delay. Also, hopefully the new year will be better for us all. I hate to hear that you have been in a dark place Tex, I'm there myself and hate to see others going through rough times. That's why I've reached out to you to leave you some words of encouragement, there is something in me that can't not reach out when someone I care about is in emotional or physical pain. And even though I've never met you, from your videos and these updates I do care about you and your health. So don't be surprised if you see messages from me in the future, trying to help others helps me with my own depression. Take care Tex, we're all here for you if you need anything.

Ethan Fisher

Delays are unfortunate, but a reality. I am looking forward to the next Tex Talks Battletech, but I don't want you to hurt yourself or push others too hard just to finish it! So it will be ready when it is ready. You aren't getting rid of me even though you keep telling us to stop. Question though! What is your favorite science fiction book? Besides Dune, you have waxed poetic about Dune several times on the Podcast, you even inspired me to read it again.

Kharakian

Praying for you Tex.

As always, take your time, fuck the haters. ANYTHING you or the BPL needs you have my email. I've wanted to do some stickers... got the art?

Question: Professor Tex, is your elemental bondswoman previously a member of the Hells Horses or the Ghost Bears?

Edward Franklin Woods

Question: Tex my good man, delighted to hear from you as always. Truly capital! I've run into a spot of bother and was hoping you could assist me my dear boy. Me and the chaps have been wondering if long term interactions between the inner sphere and the clans could lead to major fracturing between the clans. Thanks for the input old bean. Tah tah for now.

A friend has been trying to get me to read "The Left Hand of Darkness", should I get on with it?

Kasperl Stormcrow

Don't get even; get odd.

Kasperl Stormcrow

2021 was bad, 2022 started worse when my feline companion and hero (he saved my life from a sleep apnea a few years ago) of ten years passed away to cancer monday afternoon. The slim rays of hope in the warp rift of grief that followed has been the support of my spouse, friends, family and online communities around us. Without all of that support I probably would have followed him into oblivion just to get out of the pain of the first couple of days. That impulse has now passed, the pain of loss is manageable. So thank you Tex, and all the others who helps others actively or indirectly just by providing hope, distraction, entertainment or for the simple sense of solidarity that doesn't allow leaving anyone behind to suffer if anything can be done to help.

Sons of Lorgar

Don't read the blogs. We support The Black Pants Legion, unlike Albania!!! How dare they!!!

Eric Kaufman

Tex, even if you were 'all hat no cattle'; by god you have one of the finest hats I've ever seen. Good art, good work; they can't be rushed. I'm in it for the long run, and patience and time have been proven to be worth it for the content you produce. I'm here 'cause I appreciate you and your team's efforts. Question: Of the projects you are working on/planning for the new house, are there any in particular you are looking forward to or excited for?

Bill_the_Guardsman

Tex, thanks for the post. Even when someones intentions are good/protective/loyal, I understand that conversations about you on the internet run the risk of misrepresenting you. Parasocial relationships are weird. Anyway, thanks for everything you do. You’re the best and I’m glad I support you.

Brian McKenzie

Question & Comment (Question first); Would you be willing to critique a short story I'm planning to submit to moShrapnel? It's about 1/3 completed at this point. I'm writing from the POV of 'Mech techs on a pirate hunting mission that's gone sideways. And the comment; I think a lot of people are broken. I certainly am, for a variety of reasons. You have the courage of telling us about it when you don't have to. When I had a personal tragedy 3000 miles from home and felt small and alone I remembered "Fear is the mind killer". It made me feel less alone. Thank you!

Augy-WMEC906

I'm glad you're still with us Tex. Here's to a better 2022.

I don't care about your hat. I just wanna keep admiring your cattle. As an aside I want you to know I keep listening to the end of the Atlas talk to hear that song you put in the credits thank you for that.
