I love TTB but I'll sit and paint for hours to the BPL just playing games and talking. Love you guys

Doing TTB hard huh. Is he into that? Guy is German so I would think so.

Hey Tex, based on my own philosophy (which meshes nicely with yours) of "grow the hobby and don't be a shithead" I went to a Battletech event last weekend. I printed up a company's worth of mechs for myself quickly painted them to a decent tabletop standard, and ended up giving them away as additional (and unexpected) prize support. (I can print a company of mechs for a few bucks and painting relaxes me, so net cost to me is a few hours and a couple but of goo) But on the drive back I was wondering about 3d printing and the future. Do you think we will ever see a post-scarcity utopia model as energy production becomes cheaper and stuff like 3d printing and nanotechnology becomes more prevalent, or do you see scarcity-driven capitalism as part of the human experience and the model simply shifting to something akin to intellectual scarcity-driven economics?

Question for a Mr. Tex: "Would you recite some of the things Mr. Welch is no longer allowed to do in an RPG? If not, could you recite things you can no longer do in an RPG?"

We all believe in, and support you. You're doing great work.

Question for next the next patreon update: Tex! Crabs, why?

'It's hard to write... it takes time... Oh it's again our most ambitious project yet' [after that incredible Marauder video] lol TTB is always a treat. Thought and care always reflected. Hope you keep a sane pace so I can (greedily) enjoy more of you and your team's lovely art. Sound good!

2 Questions; 1) I am looking at an 1887 Martini-Henry Mk. IV, thoughts? 2) You have cited numerous examples of how people can volunteer and help out, but most of them require person to person interaction. Can you provide any activities for people who have social anxiety and would not do well in those situations? Otherwise stay strong brother, we are here for you.

I can relate to your house woes. My wife and I are rebuilding our 100 year old house that was empty and had 6 inches of water in the basement for 6 years. I was cutting and pouring a concrete footing to replace a rotted support column while listening to your electrical adventures. My wife is the electrician and hasn't set anything on fire...yet. Electrical and plumbing and septic, oh my! Question; In some fiction settings there are the "great men" with "great flaws". In Battletech, examples would be Kerensky, Focht, Victor Steiner Davion. In 40k, examples would be...um, everyone, I guess. My question is, if you were creating a "great man" character, for Tank Knights let's say, what would his/her "great flaw" be? What would you find compelling, relatable, or epic for a larger than life character to have to deal with or overcome? Thank you and all the others for all that you do!

QUESTION- If I wished that my next monthly contribution be used on some drywall, would you do it?

An idea for MORE content…I know, you don’t need anymore on your plate, but a suggestion. Would you be able to make a “Let’s Watch?” I know you could never show an episode of Star Trek or a movie, but I’d love to have you and Mike watch an episode of Star Trek, and comment on the different scenes. Something we could watch on YouTube and sync up with our own copy of the episode. Mike has some great insights in the show, namely set design and editing. It would be cool to just watch something with the BPL.

Three things: 1) I've been listening to Goat's filk music and covers lately (find his channels on YouTube and Soundcloud). Any chance of him putting out his own filk album? 2) If Patreon rules allow it, I would support at least $1 of my monthly donation going towards getting Tex a Therapy NFA Machine Gun. Even if it's just a crappy MAC-10. 3) Waifu Elemental Body Pillows for charity. Yes, I was sober when I thought of that and, yes I have been accused of being the Good Idea Fairy before.

Read your work last week, and like the overall story ark. The only critique I had was it seemed like your character lucked his way into the ark. I would add a few hard knock parts to the story to give the character a bit more depth and to be more relatable. You need the lucky breaks and cool moments, but I’d prefer a character that “earned” his breaks. Again, I wouldn’t change the ark, just fill it in with some angst and misfortune so we can see how the character handles adversity.

Sounds great, keep up the good work!

I'm excited for this! An amazing doc is worth it's time in Mech Tonnage.

Well, there is a book calledFar County with Aliens…and it’s something. I think there are a far bit of new foods, at least they are things mentioned as being from a specific planet, and then there are the special flowers for the Steiner/Davion wedding. I think it’s been mentioned, but not really dug into since the it’s is hardly a selling point for the battletech plot.

Thank you for your kind words! I hope you're doing better by the time you read this. It sounds as though you have some suggestions for improvement on my writing. If it wouldn't be a bother, I'd appreciate it if you could give criticism. Anyone else who wants to would also be appreciated in any criticism they may choose to levy.

Good content is worth the wait. Supposed to close on new house in a few days. I know what your going through there.

Question: Howdy Tex, thanks for the update. My question has to do with the depictions of alien worlds in the Battletech universe. It is an established fact the the universe is human centric but we don't really see any examples of alien flora or fauna. Is that due to human terraforming destroying existing ecosystems or is non-intelligent alien life just as scarce as intelligent alien life? Now take my money and enjoy it, I'm in this for the long haul. No guts, no galaxy!

Definitely sounding better than the previous update. I hope the fight gets a bit easier for you going forward. Here's some positive news to maybe cheer you up, rock island auctions have been hounding me for the Kolibri. They really want to auction it but I'm not convinced this is the right time. Also Silas would probably murder me if I sold it. it's #29 of the original 1913 2.7mm variant... I'm not sure I wanna let it go
