Welcome to the Short Month

Q: You are commanding your attack on the CapCons in your mobile HQ when a company of Capellan Mechs break through the line. You have one lance standing between you and certain failure/humiliation. Do you want a lance of Black Watch or Clanners (I know…Star but not fair). If your butt was on the line, who would you have to give the nod to.

So the Kolibri was grabbed as an investment because it was ridiculously cheap due to bad marketing by the auction house But then I realized I could shitpost with it... And I electrical taped it to an AR for laughs and now several of us are researching how to manufacture new munitions for it. So I think it's staying with me for a long time. Rock island wants to auction it because I asked them to appraise it. I got it for $1k.

Dude that is awesome! This is what BPL and the community is all about. Trust me when I say I know exactly what its like not having a roof over my head and over my family's head. I'm really happy to see you finally being able to rest easier.

Jung's Shadow

Glad to hear your doing OK Tex, wish I could say the same. My depression picks up real bad this time of year (February 14th is the worst day of the year for me), and we just lost my great aunt on 2/9. To top it off we all just tested positive for COVID so we can't go to the funeral. If it isn't too much to ask for I could really use some words of encouragement, to help me push on through the darkness. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for all you do Tex, your videos have been a big help to listen to while working.

Ethan Fisher

Closed on a new house this week. You guys helped make that happen. Thank you.

Question: Can we get a remake of the Indianapolis scene from Jaws with Tex as Quint, Goat as Brody, and Mike as Hooper ANIMATED by BoatBomber?

Haleion

Tex, you might have answered this before but any update to the Warhammer Tex Talks Battletech?

ScrewyNinja

Tex... dumb question. If BRCC can buy a 20MM Vulcan and put it on a Prius, why cant the BPL buy a 50 Cal, and put it on top of an El Camino?

Scott

If you ever make merch it should be the pocket hibachi that thing would sell out in 10 seconds. Either that or the unwelcome mat.

Michael Kimberling

I live around 1h drive from that specific IKEA XD

Sons of Lorgar

Legionary Expeditions sounds like a good idea, I enjoyed the travelogues for the trips to Cleveland and Atlantic City.

Chris Stochaj

4 bore all the way man XD

Book shelf organizing is terrifically satisfying. I was often annoyed when I was interrupting while shelving and sorting in my days working in a school library.

Aye. My uncle gave me similar advice; "If you didn't do it, would you regret it? Would you regret doing it?" I'll need to get more information on the Fed-Com civil war, so I need to figure out which of the books to start with. (Can't start with the splat-book because I have problems paying attention when reading long PDFs and I can't get printer ink since the Walmart doesn't carry it, the Staples went out of business, and I'm not sure that the library would be happy about me printing the entire book off.) Also: my vote is to get a Gatling Gun. If you can get an Armstrong Rifled Gun, though, I'd rather have that. Fucking 12pdr rifled breech-loaded guns.

Question for Mr. Tex: As a master of arms and now chief scholar of homeownership, what would you recommend for anti-pest armament? Got a couple mice and other such running around, is .308 large enough or should I go for something with more stopping power? please answer soon! the fuzzy suckers look hungry!

Tex wants to buy the biggest machine gun he can... Anyone know where to source a GAU-8?

Graves

I slowly have begun introducing other people to Battletech, and have begun leading them away from the predations of Games Workshop. Someday soon, my pewter armies of robots shall stomp upon others' faces. I also love the idea of the expeditions. "Seek the Grail of Barnsley", "Poke the Meatball of Ikea", and so on.

Mike Hendon

Been there man, know that place all too well. One question and a book recommendation: Q: Are you familiar with the works of Weldon Kees? I recently fell down a hole of his poems. R: Escape from Rome: The Failure of Empire and the Road to Prosperity by Walter Scheidel. Take care and be gentle with yourself.

They Call Me Soup Can

If you ever want me to clean up audio files I will happily do it for free.

No questions, no comments, just support. You're a good man Tex, and you have friends. Lots of them.

You've talked before about unknown possibilities out there in the Deep Periphery, where they're so incredibly isolated from anything occurring in the Inner Sphere that anything could be possible. Is there anything out there that you'd like to see, or ideas you'd want to explore (even if in just a thought exercise if not in a more formal manner), in that space? Van Zandt notwithstanding, I mean.

For a Comment Track for Star Trek, why don’t you just record it the same way you do these updates? No edits, no nothing. Just give a simple intro, and a countdown to press play (I’d probably have a second “hit play” mark at the beginning of the Opening Monologue since different copies may have odd start times). I don’t think exact timing is that important, the show would be background noise to whatever thing you guys discussed. Your thoughts on how to deal with “Piece of the Action” was great/funny, and I enjoyed that Podcast. Maybe you could release these like live podcasts?

The cheap and dirty expeditions would be funny as hell!

He's already been on Renegade at least once. Twice I think.

Dantels

Alcohol and self pity. Damn am I no stranger to that, no wonder I get so much out of your talks Mr. Tex.

Just watched the Renegade HPG podcast with your animator for the next TTBT. Excellent choise mr. Tex, most excellent. And, I do belive those three participants are plotting to pressgang you into participating in an episode of the podcast! And thank you for your kind words of support in my time of personal grief. I have now reached a point where recalling the happy memories doesn't feel like tearing open a warp rift in my chest at the same time.
