I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but Feb 14 is the only day I really don't mind being single. Society screams it's supposed to be a romantic day but like...if you're with someone, shouldn't you make an effort more than one day a year?

Also, as much has your editor likes Gabriel Knight, has he ever actually been to New Orleans? That game is the reason that I went there for the first time. .50 cal El Camino.... dammit I wish I could remember it's name but there was an original sci-fi space invader show on a basic cable network in the 90's/early 00's and 'the resistance' had in it's inventory a 1966 Pontiac GTO with the back seats ripped out to make room for a pintle mount and a Ma-Deuce! Listening to the guy talking about the El Camino with a .50 cal and it being well out of the BPLs range. Im willing to bet the BPL has a few gearheads that could retrofit a couple of compressed air canons onto whatever rustbox you can scrounge up and launch beers, teeshirts, pudding or whatever in some sort of glorious mutant George Miller monstrosity. Maybe a hot pink 1969 Ford Fury christened the USS Cargonia.

Tex I will say this your work got me into deep diving into the battletech lore and the tabletop itself. One thing led to another and here I am, no regrets in supporting you in your endevaors. As a fellow person dealing with mental shinigans and struggled with things because of it just know you're doing great even if at the time it doesn't feel like it.

I'm all aboard for a second podcast just to keep things tidy. Every time one of my podcasts drops a preview for another podcast or something it hurts my autism. I hope you do read Escape from Rome, it focuses on how Rome, both it having existed at all and it's having fallen but was never truly replaced, were essential to laying the ground work for the industrial revolutions. Seemed like something you'd enjoy.

Just a thought, if you did a second podcast it could be BPL Public Access where you open with a radio scan of random nonsense until you land on the gentleman with the radio voice introducing the topic. Kinda like your trying to find a station driving through the middle of nowhere and you stumble upon this strange radio station.

2 questions as always; 1) Are hand-crank Gatling guns considered machine guns? I would gladly support my money going towards an 1881 in 45-70 or a M1903 in 30-06. 2) You talk about out-doing yourself with every video, at what point do we get the campy Command & Conquer style FMVs?

It's hard to share too much about yourself because it represents the risk that someone will point out something that's wrong about your worldview and you'll have to think that through so it stops weighing on your mind. If you don't have a lot of mental resources to spare in the first place (for any reason), and/or if you don't have a supportive environment of people you can fall back to and discuss serious personal matters with, being open and honest and sharing is really hard and raises all kinds of internal alarm bells. In my case this need for privacy faded over time as I discovered that most people aren't in fact colossal dicks (unlike some members of my family and a lot of my former classmates) and are actually pleasant to learn from, but it really depends on personal experience. Being around assholes for a long time tends to make people more closed off afterwards.

Seeing Eldonius' art in official sourcebooks will be surreal.
