In additon to my other comments, would you prefer a .308 or a .338 lapua for a long range bolt action rifle? I'm leaning toward .308 for ammo exchange for my M1A, but the .338 is the better round ballistically.

Hope things are going better for you Tex. What would your thoughts be an doing a livestream to raise money for the Red Cross's (or some other organization's) work in Ukraine?

With things unfolding as they are so far in Ukraine (at the time of this posting, anyways), there may be an opportunity afterwards for the BPL to get some slightly-used, slightly-crispy Russian armor to go along with the Albanian MiG. Any interest?

So I'm going to a EverCon is Wausau Friday the 4th to play Battletech, specifically Alpha Strike. Never played that version before and I don't think you've ever mentioned it, what's your thoughts on Alpha Strike? Irregardless, I'm going to see if I can't run an all Stormcrow force. Their tiny hands shall grasp victory.

Movie game story: I adapted your movie game to play with my wife (Which is great fun and an example of the single rounds of simple joy you guys send down range). I gave her the title "Schroedinger's Bar" (sp). She came up with a group of bland 20-somethings going to school for bland business degrees and they all hang out at Schroedinger's Bar, a very bland Applebee's knock off. The bartender is the central "hub" that everyone talks to and periodically looks at a mysterious wall unit. Over the movie, the characters slowly realizes that they all might not be dead but they're definitely not alive. The last scene is the bartender saying he has to change a keg and adjusts the wall unit on the way out. As the camera dims, you can hear locks thunk in place and a hissing sound. I love my wife, but Jesus Christ, that shit keeps me up at night...

Gentlemenens, any way to use this Xenonauts modpack if I have the game on GOG? I don't want to buy the game again and I am stupid.

You often say that you don't know what you are doing.. and I suppose that is fair. I also have heard that most people who don't know what they are doing cannot bring themselves to admit it. So, if nothing else good could be said, at least we know that you, by that one virtue alone, are at least better.

Tex had an idea to toss at you for a podcast subject: spaceship designs in film and TV. Who got it right and wrong? Which ships make the most sense from a military standpoint? Which ships would be decimated in a battle with competent enemies? I personally feel the long necks on Klingon vessels are a weak point, and the first thing I would target in a battle. I think the Galactica redesign is pretty solid. I'd love to hear the BPL debate this

Question: Hey Tex, I got a question for you that bleeds into the real world but what the hell. I've been thinking a lot about the natural limitations of the human species and weather or not that caps how far we will be able to advance, especially when it comes to large organizations (big groups of people). These days I'm leaning more towards the idea that natural human self-interest can be better handled in smaller groups so I guess that makes me an anti-centralist, but I'm curious about your thoughts on the subject. Keep on truckin' big man, we're rooting for you👍

Hey what's you oppion on the BattleMaster? I fell in love with the mech as soon as I got my hands on it not expecting its sheer just point and delete potential sometimes. That's of course on MW5 not sure about the tabletop yet. I think I found my forever mech. What would you consider to be your mech that you fell in love with?

If you'd ever like to see a visual representation of regret, go to New Orleans on Jan 1st. Also, there is a kit out there that lets you turn a number of 10/22s into a gatling gun just saying. IIRC it's like 1k or less too.

Keep on being yourself. I really have difficulty articulating how much listening to you and the BPL has helped me through some dark times and providing a spark of inspiration. More on that when the spark grows.
