Hey, Tex. Do you have a favorite franchise, Youtube channel, game, etc. that you turn to when the depression hits hard? Personally, I find that the Discworld novels are very helpful for getting me through bad episodes.

2022-03-06 02:15:06 +0000 UTCHey, Tex! Thank you! That is what we do, we unite, we hold, we are strong, and we will rebuild. I appreciate your pledge, and in turn we pledge to return the favor with work (2D/3D art, voice lines and other things - we're getting a list of what we can do as I type this).
2022-03-05 07:58:09 +0000 UTCDo you need a couple free ones? Come over, we have a ton of those now.
2022-03-05 07:56:02 +0000 UTCSo the BPL "does" have said space?
Scott
2022-03-03 17:03:56 +0000 UTCDon't worry about it.

2022-03-03 17:00:54 +0000 UTCOk so a "hypothetical" situation: "should"..."should"..."we" as in the BPL, get our hands on say a T-80..ok maybe not a T-80, but maybe a BMP-2.. er... maybe not a BMP-2, or a BTR-30.. or maybe a BRDM, would we have a place to "store" said vehicle?
Scott
2022-03-03 16:53:10 +0000 UTCIve seen Russian tanks getting put on sale on Ebay and thats most likely a meme but just in case; since Albania wont sell you any MIGs then maybe the BPL could buy a functional T-80 or two.
2022-03-03 16:22:49 +0000 UTChey Tex what kind of questions do you want for the podcast I'm out ideas

2022-03-03 07:01:03 +0000 UTCThank you as always for you openness in both the BPL projects and philosophy for life. Please remember take care of yourself and those you care about too. Otherwise, is Ukranian farmers stealing abandoned russian tanks and APC with their tractors top tier shit posting?
2022-03-02 23:12:38 +0000 UTCSo someone did a request on social media for who you wanted besides Morgan Freeman to do your eulogy. I was like "Tex - The Black Pants Legion"

2022-03-02 12:48:26 +0000 UTCSpeaking of 4x4x4. We're currently playing Battle of Tukayyid campaign book through MegaMek on the largest available scale presented in the book (120k BV per total Forces on both sides with additional 30k BV of support assets). In the Track we're playing (yes, playing, not finished at this date of 2.3.2022) and with amount of stuff MegaMek makes WAY faster than TableTop (literally all of the calculations), 6 Rounds took us 3 hours to play. And 3 of those Rounds were just moving about. With Sprint optional rule on. On a 64x68 map. That's a Level III against a Trinary (and a bit) with 9 ASFs on ComGuard side and 2 ASFs and some off-board AIV tanks for CDS. It would literally take DAYS on TableTop, I'm convinced. So Alpha Strike being that much faster than the Classic is not too bad of a deal, really. Especially when you want to move about big number of units. I'd never dream of trying this scale on tabletop with Classic rules.

2022-03-02 06:40:23 +0000 UTCIt's only too much when you have to open a game store to get rid of your excess purchases.

2022-03-02 03:24:32 +0000 UTCEver since October, every time GW has angered, annoyed or otherwise begged at me, I have bought more Battletech. My storage/carry bag is now twelve pounds of spite and joy. How much Battletech is too much Battletech?

2022-03-02 03:19:32 +0000 UTCThis right here. I'd rather wait for something than to have it's creators made miserable to churn out something that they are not happy with.

2022-03-02 02:22:50 +0000 UTCI'm kinda old fashioned and prefer brush by hand when possible. I have an Airbrush but not an ideal space for it to live so it's use is sporadic (mainly I just batch prime reaper bones). I'm very much a basecoat, wash, drybrush kind of painter. It seems to have worked out ok, since I've been painting for nearly thirty five years.

2022-03-02 02:20:11 +0000 UTCThanks for the update and thanks for helping those you can help. I try to do the same wherever I am. Can't wait to see the content on the Warhammer, sounds like it'll be a marvel. Something unique and positive to come out of the last week, I wrapped up a work project developing a qualification training packet related to CBRN Defense for a client. It ended up being 330 pages in order to provide adaptive training scenarios to test the users skills. Largest single item I've written solo to date, largest of its kind, and well received by the clients so far. Question: as an avid mini painter, I'm always interested in other people's styles, do you prefer freehand, airbrush, or a mix of both when painting? Community feel free to chip in.

2022-03-02 01:56:04 +0000 UTCHey Tex, no worries about what I asked last time. I never thought you'd be that swamped with those kinds of requests, if I had known I wouldn't have brought it up. As for "a lot of people asking and not a lot of people helping", I always planned on giving, and did so the morning after this was posted. And one last thing, just keep doing what you're doing, and know we are all here for you. Stay strong, you'll get through this.

2022-03-02 01:56:03 +0000 UTCHey Tex, Your wounded positivity is something that vibes with me. After hearing that you bought a house (Molotov! Btw π ) I was inspired to do a general self-improvement spree, and dug myself out of a funk as well. Not gonna credit you for my success, as it was ultimately my own hard work that paid off, but you provided that little motivation, that spark to get off my ass and keep going. Things are looking better for me, and I hope they are for you as well. Just wanted to share the positive vibes

2022-03-02 00:26:53 +0000 UTCIndeed. Quality takes time. Anything done in haste shows. I don't want fast and frequent. I love you and the teams quality and passion for the projects.
2022-03-02 00:06:18 +0000 UTCNo need to rush anyone Tex when it's done it's done. Keep yourself and your friends healthy.
