Not sure how you need to split the Warhammer's story into two parts. Now, an intermizzio with the eating of liquified meats - YES

Eric Kaufman

Hmmm my Mercenary Warhammer, with two wrecking balls between the legs... 'Ole Iron Ballz'! /Widowmaker - call me. lol

Walt_Man

Great idea! I'm thinking it will be two parts, 45 minutes each?

Walt_Man

Did we get a running time? I have a dinner at 6pm. Or maybe I don't, corndogs and all.

Eric Kaufman

The physical coffee table idea - if this won’t tax you too much, it’s a wonderful idea and full hearted support this and will have one for multiple locations for the enlightenments of the masses.

Brian Gaskill

Hey Tex, How old is Grampa Tex? I know he said he was around during the first succession war, but he also has some in-depth knowledge about 19th-century military history.

So, Liu Bei, Cao Cao, or Sun Jian?

Kasperl Stormcrow

Also thrust gravity. A lot of thrust gravity.

Dantels

Hey Tex, talking of humanising war and 1st person accounts, have you come across "The Good War" by Studs Terkel? I'd definitely recommend it. Thanks for all you do

Thank you for the answers and information! Can you peek at your email.... and look for me.... You rock in my book.... just say thank you, if you don't know what to say. Go on SOME kind of vacation or even a STAYcation.....! Low batteries need replaced to do more, -> vacation...lol!

The Hovercraft in Battletech are all based more or less on the general concept Cockerell and Saunders-Roe style designs, though the specifics of construction and technologies do have a certain amount of variability and fictionalization. BT also includes WiGE (Wing in Ground Effect) vehicles aka ekranoplan. However Battletech has never included Star Trek/Star Wars style artificial gravity or anti-gravity propulsion systems which seems to be what you are thinking of. The fiction has a number of instances of characters wishing they had artificial gravity instead of the Grav Decks of jumpships which rely on centrifugal force to provide the necessary resistance exercise time and recreation facilities to prevent muscle wastage in prolonged micro-gravity and technical references for failed or abandoned artificial gravity/anti-grav experiments.

That would be an outstanding birthday present! Big 40 coming up. Deep thanks for the shitposts Tex and EVERYONE who, no doubt, have previously and continue to pour so much into this for everyone!

As far as the throttling, maybe someone at YouTube is just a fan of the Clans and doesn't like your shitposting of them 😜

You sound so much better Tex, I can tell that leaving the old job has made an impact. I'll be there for the video premiere, I'm off that entire day and the scheduled power outage in my area SHOULD be over by then. I'll be looking forward to your Tex Talks History, and if you make a physical copy of that alternate history book I WILL buy it even if I have to safe up for a while to do so. Good luck with the new job. Take care of yourself.

To Rhys Lawson, I've read that entry but I got the impression that hovercraft use technology similar to what we have. Using skirts or air bladders to keep the craft suspended. Is that not the case?

Jalatron

I'm not Tex, but there are hover vehicles that do exist within the setting, Jalatron. Sarna has a heading article for Hovercraft in the universe. Hovercraft are ruled as a subcategory of the Ground Vehicles type, and tend to have a top weight of 50 tons. Posting link to Sarna article for reference. https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Hovercraft

Rhys Lawson

I would love to attend a lecture of ancient history by Randolph P. Checkers!

Question: Hey Tex, thanks for everything hoss. I was hoping you could help clear something up for me. I've been preparing for a Battletech rpg and in so doing was trying to see anti-grav tech exists or could exist in the setting. I intend to use it as a Corp secret project to make improved hovercraft that can carry up to 100 tons among other things. The answers I've been getting have been rather mixed. Some say this tech essential already exists in universe where as others say it doesn't and shouldn't. What's your take?
