Save voice mister tex. So I got to meet a train engineer a few months back. He openly braged about blowing the horn when he drove thru a small town on his route. So some small confirmation that they do it on purpose.

Tex, (save your voice) Thank you and your team for all the hard work you put into everything. First, I want to thank you for the fun RP the other night when you played the space lawyer. I was playing the H.O.P had to deal the case where you sued the station over the SEC officer flasher people—I regret ever handing you that form! That makes three weeks in a row now where I’ve been sued or in court while playing a command role. I’m so grateful to you, the BPL, and the Auxiliary for making your SS14 server so much fun. Now for a BattleTech question: I’m very much a Lyran Commonwealth player, and over the last two years, I’ve painted enough mechs to almost field a full regiment of Lyran Guards. I’m now looking to expand into non-mech units to round out my force. What would you suggest as good Lyran non-mech units—tanks, troops, or even aerofighters? Lastly, thank you again for everything you and your team have done. We wouldn’t have anything this greatest without all the hard work they put in.

Hello Tex, please save your voice as you see fit. I live in a city that is basically controlled by a clinic that takes up most of it and with 64k employees you either work for it or things needed for the staff. Only reason I say this is so you know it’s basically like the movie Footloose as if it’s not fit for the high MD’s standards it’s chase out of town. So I was pleased and impressed that a couple local store owners actually got to do a small but majorly successful Game con. I went and there was a guy around my age teaching people the love of playing Battletech, though a bit worried he wore the purple parakeet I was able to join him and help getting others into the game. He set up a Solaris style grinder ring where you start in a light mech and as you get taken out come back in the next category. To great fun I had lasted the first round in a wasp to be cored by a Hunchback at point blank range, it was a blast and though I have a lot of the new table top games books and set I had not played for almost 20 years and it all came back so fast. Honestly it was great hearing people who some had never heard of the game just having fun as limbs blew off or mechs failed gyro checks and fall. I’m socially very compromised but this did open me up. I have only one question this time, you in a video after all of the far cry 5 series talked about one you found for I believe starting up a B17. Would you ever consider adding that to one of yours and Dept’s videos? I actually found one from Rifftrax for Naval officers called How to Succeed with a Brunette. Yes a dating advice short from the 60’s. I hope your new job is feeling better and all your friends and fellow legionnaires are all doing well. Happy you are finally going ground after the rough start to your Spanish Naval Campaign and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Stay safe and well as much as you can and Thank you for all you go.

As someone who also suffers depression I can well understand what you are going through. It saps spirit and drive. Making it hard to simple WANT to do anything let alone get shit done. I can’t wait to read the Magistratium Mundanius book. My friend is going to be running a dark heresy mini campaign in March so I get to experience the insanity of 40k. If you are interested I can post a link to my character. I’d love feedback back. Also going to be joining my first traveler game this weekend.

Hi Tex, thanks for the updates. Feel free to save voice on the question: Speaking of prioritizing fun over min/maxing, my boys decided they wanted to run a trash pile Battletech game, where instead of a bunch of optimized 3150 custom builds, we're restricting ourselves to the worst mech/builds we can think of. Aside from some obvious turds (OG Charger, Dasher II, OG Blackjack, UrbanMechs), would you have any suggestions for overlooked trash that would be fun to add to this nonsense?

I'm looking forward to the Traveller documentation! I hope to be finally able to GM my first game. Although my biggest fear still is being underprepared especially in encounters or scenes in general, what if the party rushes through them? Anyway, take care and have a good day

Execute voice saving protocol I've been really enjoying the Ultimate Admiral Dreadnought playthrough of Spain. The first episode was very useful for learning naval history. Speaking of which, I really should watch Drach more often, he's really good. Question: if there was one thing u could wish out of existence, what would it be and why? My personal answer is either cryptocurrency in general, or .......... maybe the BMP? Cus gas doors are dumb. Hilarious, but dumb. Anyway, I hope u have a great day today and I'm looking forward to the Traveller documentary.

As for poems I have good one for you, "Invictus" from William Ernest Henley

And here another comment of mine where I annoy Tex about the Orion BattleMech

Hey Tex, feel free to save your voice. I'm reminded of the 1987 animation film "The man who planted trees." It's a fictional story, written by Jean Giono. The man who plants trees, Elzéard Bouffier never existed, it's a work of fiction, but the book and film remain popular. It's on Youtube, if you didn't know it already. It's a story about how an ordinary man can do extraordinary things with a little patience and determination. Seeing some parallels there. BTW the King Crab indeed has an apartment inside, it's built like those 70's experimental circular houses with deep carpets, a firepit with orange seats around it and there is flagstone wall that swivels to reveal a bar and stereo record player. Also realized today that I've been doing RPG's for 40 years now. Putting my players through the wringer at Twycross, and their next mission will be to partner up with Adam Steiner and steal some Clan tech. And in between I'm adding scenes where they have flashbacks about their prison time in the Turtle Bay gulags of the ISF.

Preserve voice. Have you considered sound blocking fencing? If zoning allows, an 8 footer around location redacted with a row of evergreens can knock down the sound enough to not be a bother?

dogsoneup

Tex. I've been plagued by treatment resistant major depression my entire life... Have you tried Ketamine? Saved my life. I think it might improve yours.

We know you're not in this for a paycheck, Tex. You're not a factory, but you also are not a business, and so you shouldn't bankrupt yourself. Yes, that time will come when we are forgotten, but we will not see that time. We live in the time we have. You don't expect a dime back or praise? Too bad, we're giving them to you anyway. You can say "don't" all you want, we'll still support you. *looks up the Knife Fight City wiki* So that's a yes, on the job then. Yeah I knew a guy like that at a job who ate other people's stuff. I am the same way about the first two Baldur's Gate games.

I played both D&D and Travel in the 1970’s. I’ve played 5e and I got the latest Traveler edition for Christmas and was kind of shocked how close it was to Traveler first edition. If you dropped a player with a 1st edition D&D character in a 5e game they would be lost. A Traveler player might not even notice.

You have no idea how excited I am about your team's treatment of Traveller!! I don't care how long it takes. Do muh boy justice, like I know you will! Take care of yourself. o7

You care about the content, not the reaction to the content.

Good evening Tex, feel free to save your voice. So I had that battletech showing at my local game store two weeks ago, as of this post, and we had a blast of a time. We played a grinder game, Once your mech is destroyed you move up to the next weight class. Our lights were a Raven 3L, a Panther 9R, a Jenner 7-D, and an Urbanmech R60L. We all only got to mediums but highlights included: a headshot knockdown and pilot knockout to my Jenner before getting cored, my Hunchback IIC getting DFA'd then falling the jumping mech failing its roll to land then it falling again on my Hunchback IIC, the Panther constantly being a single Hex out of the Urbies range of the big pop gun. With that, it looks like we'll have another two or more people playing next time we have this. I pointed the two not playing to look at the holy book of battletech, SARNA, and how amazing it is to look into things and then I pointed them to you to hear someone who knows the world better than I do and does it much better than my brief summaries of things. Sorry for the long post, but have a good rest of your day. And I still am up for putting a batchall to the BPL of Aux vs BPL in Rising Storm 2 Vietnam. Thank you, FireonFriendly

Excited for the Magistratum book! A comment on content creation for clicks- our culture already has turned us into products, don't volunteer for the procedure.

Save your voice on this one: Thank you very much for the reading list. There are moments where I am inevitably surprised there are more books than I will ever know there are out there on a subject. To my surprise as well was actually having three of those ten already in my collection and now I have aims for additional acquisitions on the subject. I do have one follow on question: What was your opinion on the book Artillery: It's Origin, Heyday, and Decline by OFG Hogg? I figured if you suggested books to me, I would not mind trying to suggest something back. Again, thank you very much for the list.
