Dear Tex, I fear that there has been a misunderstanding regarding my mother's reaction to "Tex Talks History." When she said that your documentary would be at home on a channel like Discovery if you took out the profanity, she wasn't offended by it and she wasn't requesting that you take it out. In fact, she was amused when you mentioned that Dr. Christmas' "Safety Factor 7" was imaginary, whimsical bullshit. What she meant by her comment was that if I hadn't told her that a friend of mine had made it, she would have thought it was a television documentary were it not for the words that you can't say on TV. It was intended as a compliment, not a criticism, and she really wants me to make that clear. In other news, I've started playing BattleTech Advanced at your recommendation. You will be amused to learn that Grampa Tex was in my stable of starting pilots, and I put him into an S1 model Firestarter which I immediately dubbed "Warcrimes Funtimes" as he set to work igniting Mechs, vehicles, terrain, and even people. Despite Grampa's propensity to break his hip he rarely fell, and the FS9's jump jets made up for that loss of maneuverability. Unfortunately I lost that Mech over a year of gametime later when Sumire decided it would be funny to drop us within shooting distance of a company of heavy armor. Despite Grampa's best efforts, a Manticore shot him in the back. Grampa survived, fortunately, but the Firestarter was a total loss. Since I can't find another Firestarter, and I want to keeps Gramps alive as he's now one of my best pilots, I've upgraded him to a 4H Quickdraw that's been souped up with a 330 core engine. It's just not the same, though.

2023-12-05 18:38:12 +0000 UTCDeer hunt with the Enfield 303 went well, tagged my first buck of my life with it and only 20 minutes of shooting light to spare. Old rifles are indeed good rifles, sir. Been enjoying the Christmas dump and my workplace production has gone down in direct proportion to my increase in BPL consumption. Currently about midway through MM and loving every second of it. Keep the content rolling, pour an egg nog and enjoy the season.
