State of the patreon game and website.

Ok, so this'll be an important one, but I'll try to make it as succinct and unboring as humanly possible.

Where to begin...Firstly, the poster for ShortNight:The Half Pint Lady is done, appropriate members can find it up in the members gallery here. 

Extra time and effort went into this particular piece as its not only going to be the steam library capsule, but I want to make physical prints of it once the game is nearer completion or as a publicity thing for the game coming out. (goal still remains next summer, so about 9 months from now, its gonna be tight) Ideally, what I'm thinking, is only doing a small run, and get it in the hands of some of my longest and highest supporters, maybe even a few of you who've stuck by me the longest, I'll sign or something or frame it for you, but I do think some nice poster prints would be awesome thing as a perk for you guys.

That gets into the next part of what I gotta go over which is patreon, short term and long term.

Saw some unfortunate news, that patreon seems to have surprisingly fired their entire security team, this is extremely worrying, there's also talk that they are coming after nsfw artists, which is unsurprising, but frustrating none the less. 

It may be time, at least im guessing, in this year to come for me to walk away from patreon entirely. My options are to move to subscribestar but this bring up some issues, pretty bad ones for myself. There are no plugins for subscribe star for how my website is built like there is for patreon.  All of this is a daunting amount of work and takes away from what I should really be doing, the short night game.

The original shortnight, which was going to be more adventure game play like, has been sidelined to make this prequel, The Half Pint Lady, which is merely a vn+

I have a team, but my writer got very VERY sick over the summer, and without them to  help write the game design doc and script, it has put us behind. Not enough that I'm not still aiming for the next summer release, but things like that are just coming more and more common place.

The long and short of it, is I need to do some house cleaning, reevaluate the patreon, figure out how to better incentivize it. Want to give better perks to the higher tier members, I thought I'd actually have some aplha footage for you guys, but making a game is proving very tricky. (who'd a thunk)

Definitely want to do more stuff like this poster idea, other ideas is your names (patreon or other aliases) be listed in the credits of the game as special thanks. I'd love to hear what else you guys would like to see. Hopefully with production right around the corner, there will be actual things like alphas, animations, or whatever for me to share with the top tiers, you guys have been hella patient and I do so appreciate it. This game will get made if its the last fucking thing i do, believe that.   

The only other option is just to keep my head down, grind out the production of the game this upcoming year and get the damn thing done, which is honestly what I want to do, and treat the patreon like it is, a glorified tip jar.  I think a lot of people view it this way, but i rarely hear from you guys on here or the discord.  So I just assume you must all be ok with how im doing things. I never know though. I just wish this wasn't taking so damn long. 

My main goal is to get the game Short Night : The Half Pint Lady done and out, what comes after we'll see. This is going to be a huge effort on my part, I imagine its going to be very difficult grind this year. And as much as i wanna give the attention the patreon and website deserve, I know that's time spent in the wrong areas. I may be forced to though with whats going on with patreon and I think the coming purge of adult artists.

1. We're close to full production on the SHort Night Prequel my main goal moving forward

2. Shenanigans are habbening with patreon, or at least it seems that way,

3. might have to move to subscribestar (dont know if id be worth it to switch cuz the time and effort would be monumental and a distraction from the game, and i dont make a lot off patreon anyway, which sucks cuz its about a third of my income *damn that sucks to actually say, im in a bad spot* i want to be done with ebegging after this game comes out, its not feasible for me, never got the support i needed)

4. want to have better perks for you guys, but thats gonna be tricky, if you guys are happy with how things are let me know, and you just want me focusing on the game (its gonna be hella work)

5. want to be doing more real shit, like getting posters made, want to actually make Short Night a brand, i put everything into this and it the direction i want to go long term, but i gotta be the first and best if im gonna be the goblin guy

6. would you guys consider goblins to fall under the "monster girls"category, lemme know what you think? (hint, i do)
