This is probably quite out of left field for the comic, but I can imagine the next strips getting a tonal shift, where Aqua is fainting due to dehydration, the kids panic and get a glass of water, then beg to not call the police and charge them for attempted murder. This is likely too dark for Lauren Ipsum's humor, but overblown laments over harmless pranks and stunts is quite common for children to do, so it would be a funny punchline for this predicament.
