Okay so this page's dialogue took a drastic turn. Or rather, the opposite. At first, Zarhe was meant to say: "You're only alive right now... ...because mother wishes you to be." I found this was too drastic and too dark and unrealistic to be between siblings. I do know that some siblings do in fact despise one another, but it just wasn't right here. Because the thing is, Zarhe is extremely jealous at Zewiac but she know that killing him wouldn't be the best option. Because then, their mother (Miesenca) would mourn Zewiac and have a lot less reason to care about Zarhe. (And if Miesenca got to know that Zarhe did it, she'd, at least, be banished from the pack with no chance of coming back.) Plus, deep within, Zarhe knows that she's her mother's last pick for the place of the Beta (the heir) and she takes this opportunity to be the one to run home and tell her mother of her son's betrayal. She hopes to rise in her mother's eyes and (as she sees it) understand how puny and worthless Zewiac really is.So basically, this is more realistic sibling-fuss but with a slightly dark undertone instead of a death-threat. :)
COMIC TIP!
A seemingly small but important thing to consider when making comics, is what color the lines that separates the panels should have. Most people make them white or black (with white being the most popular choice). It can have a great effect on how the comic convey it's mood and atmosphere. I make them black since the mood in my comic is meant to be rather dark, but I found the black lines to be "melting into" the panels. And so, I came up with the idea of having those white lines, separating the panels and lines further. ^^
QUESTION! > What drawing-technique do you wish you were good at?
Watercolor. I have seen so many beautiful watercolor-drawings and I wish badly that I could be as good. :') I just haven't gotten the time to sit down and practice on it... :')
