Meya is about middle aged and Tacoro is just a kid. Their relation is that of a child and it's bis sister/mother, nothing more. On this page, we see Tacoro giving up his attempts at waking her up to lie beside her, hoping that she'll wake up eventually.
COMIC TIP!
If you're drawing your comic digitally, have a set size for your pages! When you do comics traditionally, you usually do them on an A4 paper. I accidentally made my pages in different sizes before I realized this and it was too late. So all I can say is, don't do the same mistake as I did. :')

Oh gosh... it's difficult to just say a fewm but I think I'd have to say: most of the Studio Ghibli ones, The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Iron Giant!
