This was a great lecture to enjoy over coffee on a Sunday morning of the Christmas season. The brass flourishes, and gentle scoring and balanced choral lines put me very much in mind of the English 'style' of choral arranging (you mentioned Sir David Willcox) and some of those great recordings of King's Singers and Clare College Choir on EMI. The modulation from Ab to D using the french horn line to set up the transition is very cool, and I like the (what...'restraint' ?) you employed to let the modulation settle in the scoring before bringing the choir back in. I thought it exposed the change a little and gave a chance to appreciate it. Pretty clever. Thanks for putting this lecture together, Doug ! Nicely done.

It was both uplifting and relaxing to listen, also brought back memories from the past when I sang in our church choir. Thank you! 😊🤗
