And the next Extended Play Lounge album will be...

A few have asked about the next Extended Play Lounge episode (coming up soon). I've decided to go with In Search of the Lost Chord from the Moody Blues to continue checking out this band's discography. And, I have it on vinyl!

This album was beat out by a whisker by Chris Squire's Fish Out of Water last time, so I thought it best to move on to the 'Moodies' this time.

Stay tuned for this episode in the next week.

Cheers!

One of my favorites by them ^^

Just wanted to put the idea out there that when you release β€œRitual” from Tales, you should release an extended play lounge that features all of Tales from topographic oceans in one video. You will notice things listening to it in one sitting that you wouldn’t notice otherwise.

This was a pivotal album in my life. As I had the great good fortune of living in the '60s, and having my school year align with the actual year...so in '69, I was in the 9th grade. That was when a friend brought me to see a friend of his, who not only had and played this album for me, but he also rolled a fatty, which helped the medicine go down, whilst ruminating upon the provided mandala. Two new worlds were opened up to me, which I explored to the point of meeting Tim Leary a couple of times, and Ginsberg, and hitch the country looking for America and all the rest...which is to say, the professor and Mary Ann. "The rain is on the roof..." Can't wait to travel this road with you. Which reminds me...when I was hitching, I had a jambox with the cassette and the song "Eternity Road" by the Moodies. 'Twas their next, I believe. Life dances in upon itself like a fractal.

I don't know if you've heard them or reacted to them before, but I would suggest you check out The Flaming Lips. They could be part of your "weird Wednesday". My favorite album of theirs is Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.

I just joined Patreon, and my favourite album of all time is to be the next Extended Lounge? Hmmm... I'll accept that.

I bought this album in '68 after seeing the cover and only ever having heard Knights in White Satin from previous album, Still have the copy I bought way back then, big fan.
