We're listening to Dream Theater's third album, Awake. Somehow, ALL of these tracks were first time listens for me. And, there's some great songs on this album. I was taken aback by the strength of James' vocals and by the proggy harmonies coming from Kevin Moore's synths. It's a long album, but it's all worthy. I hope you enjoy!

Ever since the first Dream Theater reaction video Ive been waiting for this one for quite some time. In my opinion this is their best album. Mostly because this was the album that introduced Dream Theater to me, autumn of -94 first year in high school towards musical studies. A classmate of mine played "Lie" and Johns solo there just floored me. As a 16 year old guitar player who came from a grunge background this is still to this date the peak moment of any music related experiences. I joined you Patreon specifically for this reaction. This was the album that got me hooked on DT and has been my sentimental favorite for almost 30 years. It was so worth the wait and I’m actually happy you listened now after hearing most of the catalogue so you can fully appreciate how sublimely unique this album is in its color and raw emotion. I’ve been in and out of the Patreon sub over the years but I always come back and instantly re subbed for this one.
