A bunch of you have been asking me to do a timelapse video focusing on my Hair Rendering skills; here ya go. 😝 It's crazy to think that late last year, 2019, I was finishing off this Wonder Woman series. Here we are a year later and I'm finally airing the footage that I took a year ago.

For this particular piece I did not photobash anything; I painstakingly painted in the individual clumps of hair, piece by piece until I was satisfied with the volume, shine & lighting. What opened my mind to dealing with hair was actually ZBrush. That's a 3D Software used to create Sculptures. There is a function in ZBrush called "Fibermesh" which actually allows you to create "realistic-looking" hair. I learned through using Fibermesh that the only way to tackle Huge Hair was to break it down into individual pieces and render the distinct clumps separately. Eventually the overall mass of hair will come together as you render away. It's chipping away at a boulder until you create a desired shape. I use masks to separate the different clumps of hair in Photoshop.
