This is a case I first learned about as an undergrad in college, but I didn't truly appreciate it until much more recently. The Lemon Test seems to not be that popular anymore among current justices, but what do you think?
That line between church and state can be so difficult to find.

Fascinating case! They made the correct decision..The separation of church and state line has always been a little blurry In our country; that’s for sure.

I would have liked for you to expound on the first amendment reasons for a separation of church and state and why our nation was founded on these principles. Also is it really a fact that there have been many lawsuits for having a bible on your desk or praying in school? I know a collective prayer may not be cool but anyone can pray anytime and no one can legislate that.

2021-02-02 21:06:40 +0000 UTCHmmm. i have mixed feelings about this. as it is written i agree with the Ruling as i dont want a government hand in private school like in Canada. were when the government changes moral laws secularly they could thier fundings to threaten the religious institutions they sponser. Church's who mistakenly thought they needed a 501C3 have ran into this trouble in the past. As a Christian though i dont know how many times i seen a article on a teacher being sued for haveing a bible on thier desk, a Fellowship of Christians Athletes being sued, a child suspended for praying, or having bible study on school grounds. or a football team sued for praying. and lesser things such a a kid getting in trouble for praying at his graduation, or one praying in private, or the kid who got a F in 1st grade because they picked JEsus as thier hero for their report. Sadly the Lemon test is mostly abused by Laymen. thankfully most of what i mentioned above the right won out in Court but i understand the panic that people have of having the Secular religion (atheistic) dominating school system could have an adverse effect equal to having a Christian dominated public school system. I dont know for a fact that a truely Secular (Agnostic) school sistem is accomplishable. i dont think our nation is wrong for trying, sometimes though we can get out of hand with it both ways.
