“Yeah. I noticed.”

“Every other jump lands us in some backwoods fantasy world!? What’s wrong with working phones and bathrooms, huh?!” Thalia groaned into her hands.

“Shot in the dark, Humanity is afraid of its own advancement. Skynet, HAL, artificial intelligence in general is based off a primal fear of the intelligence of man not being enough to survive?” Whiskers posited.

“…Whiskers?”

“Yes?”

“Please don’t ever say anything like that again.”

“Okay.” Whiskers shrugged and interlaced his hands behind his head. “So we heading toward Lux Village, or …D-King Castle?”

“Whoever made this sign is an asshole.” Thalia groused. She crossed her arms. “How much you want to be the D King is a giant ape?”

“…Why would he be a giant ape?”

“Donkey Kong, Whiskers.”

“…but it says ‘King’..?”

“Hoo…boy, sometimes you’re so lucky you’re cute.”

“…What’d you just call me?”

“C’mon, Whiskers.” Thalia rolled her eyes and ignored the annoyed (adorable) scowl (kitten pout) on his face. She headed towards Lux. “Times a wastin’ and I’m not sleeping in bushes again.”

“Don’t think you can trick me into forgetting about what you said, Tree Girl.”

“Me? Trick the Bane of Laufeyson? Perish the thought.”

“Hello, and welcome to lux village!” A moderately pretty brunette woman with a massive, borderline unhealthy pair of breasts greeted the two gobsmacked wayward travellers.

“…Those cannot be real.” Thalia openly stared at the breasts that were easily the size of her head. Even Aphrodite would think that mammaries that size would be pushing it! …right? …Well, great, now Thalia had something totally new to be paranoid about happening to her.

“Her poor back.” Whiskers muttered in stupefied agreement. Thalia would be upset at him, but 1) she was also staring and 2) he wasn’t doing it out of lust.
