Changes to 2023 Patreon Membership

Hello! 

Time flies fast and I feel like it was just yesterday that I was writing about 2022 Patreon changes and it's been more than a year already. I feel like this year went by especially fast and I think quantity and quality wise, I've definitely improved since last year. I didn't want to make any preemptive changes but with the year gone by, here are the changes I've decided:

- Removal of Maecom Tier / Tier Repricing

- Removal of Loyalty Rewards / New Suggestion Box

1. Removal of Maecom Tier

On 2022, I started off simplifying the tiers and on 2023, I'm going to simplify it even further. The $9 Maecom tier will be removed and all its benefits will be combined into the $5 Dalcom tier. So in short, you can think of it as reduced tier pricing ($9 >$5).

With this change, the benefits to the tier are affected as well. The original Maecom tier offered Patreon exclusive rewards twice a month but in the new Dalcom tier, these exclusive rewards will be available on arbitrary basis. I've been spending longer time working on the monthly rewards, which limited my time being able to draw and explore other things.  Reducing the tier pricing will be more fair to you guys and less burden on me because ultimately I want to provide an appropriate level of content for each pricing. 

For all the current Maecom patrons reading this, please change your subscription to the Dalcom tier so the process can begin! On January, the Maecom tier will be removed and you'll be moved to No Tier status if you do not change your subscription. So make sure to switch if you'd like stay subscribed.

2. Removal of Loyalty Rewards

I started this on 2022 but it has been getting much attention so it will be gone starting 2023.  Instead, I'll be opening up a new suggestion box for all Dalcom patrons starting January 2023 where you'll be able to suggest anything for me to draw. I'll announce the new link for the form on January so stay tuned!

Theses suggestions will be part of the exclusive rewards mentioned on #1 so if there's anything you'd like to see specifically, make sure to fill it out! There are no limits to the responses.

My main goal with these changes was to lessen the pressure since I've been feeling a burnt out trying to meet the deadline and coming up with new monthly ideas. I haven't been that satisfied with the quality of work I've been producing last few months (I don't know if you guys noticed that). I even considered closing Patreon entirely but I felt that wouldn't be fair to you guys for the support I've been receiving for past year. I hope to take some time off to reflect without deadline hanging over my head. 

2022 was definitely a busy year but looking back I feel that I haven't been able to accomplish much... but that's just how it is with new year resolution right? I'm looking forward to next year and hopefully making up for what I've lost.
