BDSM is always experienced between willing participants and clearly defined verbally PRIOR to beginning any activity. So, even though it can be very kinky, it's never about causing actual harm.

It's so vile. I didn't realize that it had been referred to the EU court - I too feel profoundly sick that there's even a chance he walks.
