Your accent is that of a sexy leprechaun (welp, I guess it’s time to start working on a Halloween costume!) but you typically cover US cases (obviously not today), so I’m curious. Also, and this is a tribute to the work you do, you’re not only my only Patreon subscription, but your work is so consistently interesting, thorough, legitimately funny-yet-empathetic, endearing, intelligently presented, and you put so damned much hard work into it that I started out paying double what you ask and am about to double that amount. I used to have a fairly successful blog (back between 2007 and 2012), and I know how stressful and difficult it can be when something you do for fun becomes something people begin to expect and insist on (making it a job, and no longer quite as fun). I remember feeling so guilty and stressed out when I went too long without writing a post, and that guilt and stress gave me anxiety, so I’d become even more avoidant, which fed the cycle until I’d eventually cave and force a post, which was never anywhere near as funny or well-written as the ones that came about organically (and more prolifically) before I’d developed a more widespread following. My point is that you’re killin it (ooooh), deserve to be paid far more than you’re asking (for real, people, if you can pay him more for the insane number of hours that must go into this each week, and sheer talent of the man, please do!!), and that (especially those of us who have ever done media on a semi-professional basis) fully understand the pressure you feel to produce more/justify needed time off, and as such won’t ever begrudge you time away. You don’t owe us diddly, and I live in fear of the day that the pressure of the grind gets to you so much that you take a permanent break. Keep up the good work (shit...um...I mean, please don’t feel pressured to keep up the good work?) and take good care of yourself above all else. The rest of us will consider any breaks you decide to take as a protection of one of our favorite investments.

I know you mentioned he had a hard time keeping a job after his time in the military, but between the time in the military and the fact that his sister-in-law was found “in his shop,” I would assume he’d at least have a few scars and callouses?

This was a very interesting case and I’ll check out the movie. I’m just so sad for the victims and their families. Oh and the little 8 year old girl the police ought to be ashamed of themselves and the ones that covered it up cause they were too lazy to do the work should be rotting behind bars.

I’m not sure which case you’re talking about, but the cops sound like idiots. Of course I’m not in favor of rapes in India. There’s another American case that I’m obsessed with- little Summer Wells has been missing almost 6 weeks and as far as most of us know, the cops are really effing that one up too. This country isn’t what it used to be. I had no right to criticize your country.. so sorry- it probably IS safer there than here!

As horrible this case is, South Korea is a very safe place in general, and honestly, if you can withstand living in US where they allow people to use firearms and won’t do much about gun violence,you should do alright in Korea.
