He looked pathetic and lonely because he is in a high risk seg unit. The guard said anytime Bernardo got moved other inmates threw any bodily fluid etc they could at him. Somehow they all knew when he'd be there....

I can't watch this because unlike most of your fans who were not even born yet, my anger was with the Crown for giving Karla, Leane or Emily, whatever she calls herself now while living her life in Montreal, such a great deal, when in fact she fed off him in her narcissistic and psychopathic tenancies. In 1976 we abolished capital punishment, and for the likes of her and him, that infuriates me! Way back in the '80's I went into criminal law for the sole purpose of never allowing scum bags like these two to ever see the light of day. What an idiot I was to believe the system could ever be fixed, so I went into tax law. Lots of scumbags, less headaches. I'm sure you did great here though Mike .

They claim they had already lost one daughter, they didn’t want to lose two. I don’t think I could be so forgiving. I mean the poor thing was 15. They’re both sick.

They also wanted to keep Kristen French longer but had a family dinner occurring and they didn't want to risk anyone finding Kristen in their home. To anyone concerned he will be released, he will never get out of prison. There is a section of the Criminal Code that can keep a person incarcerated indefinitely. (I used to work in the Sex Offender Registry/High Risk Offender Unit in an area of Ontario, and typed many of these applications. And 25 years is the maximum sentence that can be given in Canada. Karla was definitely a sociopath that would do anything to keep Paul whom she was obsessed with even after getting married. She was a willing accomplice and was as involved as Paul was. She is now living near Montreal, has dyed her hair black and is married with kids. Definitely not fair, Karla played the system and won.

There is a part of the Criminal Code that takes into account a person who is a danger to the public. The Police Service that charged him puts together an "810" application to a judge every time parole comes up. It potentially keeps the offender in jail permanently. I typed many of these. He will never get out.
