This makes me genuinely worried about a generation of kids growing up with shitty childhoods due to making abortion illegal in many US states. Parents that are forced to raise children they don’t want are more likely to provide shitty childhoods to their kids. Although…adoption is always an option. Too bad it isn’t more common.

2022-12-30 05:20:26 +0000 UTCI remember this case. I live in Milwaukie, Oregon. Oregon City is about 5 minutes south from me. I remember screaming at the TV “check that shed and newly poured cement in his backyard! Sheesh, I should not be doing your jobs for you!” It was just so frustrating. I was so relieved (and still a little perturbed at the FBI & cops. I was afraid that they would take so long that another girl may end up dying while they took their time (imo). I get investigations take awhile but to have a man with his criminal background, the fact that his dad was a serial killer and that one of the girls (the very one who accused him of molestation just a couple of months earlier) is one of the missing….well it doesn’t take a high school diploma to figure out this case. I’m just grateful his son did the right thing since the right thing was not in that family’s blood line going back generations I guess. (Sorry about the ranting. This case hit close to home for me. My husband even played Counter Strike a couple of years ago with the boyfriend of Ashley Pond. They had just met a few weeks earlier and started dating. He is still super affected by it. He drinks early and often. It’s like whatever Ward Weaver touches, it has a ripple effect of evil.)

I say all this because I want you to know that the work you've poured yourself into (we can see! ;D) has been the only thing keeping me sane!! You make a real difference in this world for many, Mike. When, where inevitably as humans, you find yourself in a difficult time, just remember that for me. Sending you (your family, your friends, your... audience? =D) the best for the holidays.

The first time we drove by the place they were found, my partner told me about their story and I was horrified.
