The Evil in Her Room | The Disturbing Riley Crossman Case

Absolutely adore you and love your channels. Check out Jake Evans 17 year old boy from Texas USA. The saddest and emotionally raw true crime story. Fascinating!

It should be the parent's responsibility to help their child to continue to be responsible, in the face of growing demands as they get older. Teens can have personal issues, and things can get in the way, and the parent is supposed to be there to help them manage it. It's not like it suddenly becomes okay to live in filth, just because they're an adult. I really can't see how it makes sense to just let a teen stop being responsible. I also see the situation in this particular household as unstable, and that room, again, is more than just messy. It has trash, and old bottles, and it's unsanitary. This is more than just "please pick up your laundry."

Kay Smith

Oh man, this is just terrifying! I am too saddened to say more right now. PS: I had to rewind early on to verify you said this teen was born 2003 and the 911 call made 2009. Oopsie. The cop’s video clip verified 2019. That early date would make this crime even worse.

Kay, I take exception to your blanket statement that kids are “only messy if your teen isn’t taught…”. My daughter was extremely tidy, even fussy from a very small child. Her brothers were also taught, but she outshine everyone, even adults. She cleaned with gusto. Her laundry was folded impeccably, as was the family laundry she did. She relished being helpful and organized and clean….until about age 15 when it all went to hell. Parents who teach their children stuff about life do not always enjoy seeing their kids adhere to those teachings when they grow older. Human beings make choices, despite good example and teaching.

Yes a definite sack of shit!

Hey Mike! You should tell Sarah Rairdon’s story. She was murdered in Underwood, MN. This story shook our little town and neighboring towns. To this day, it is still discussed in our local papers and in our coffee shops.

Emilyn Haugen

Red flag a few minutes in. They found her glasses, unfolded, in her room? Definite murder. I can't go more than a few steps without mine.

Laura Magnier

Wait, did I hear this right? He killed her and hid her body in her room. So that means that she was in there somewhere when her Mom went to check on her in the morning???! That’s absolutely horrifying. Great video, Mike; very disturbing story.

Lisa Bourgault

Thank you for always covering my home state of WV with such grace. I’m devastated for her family… What a piece of shit. I’m glad he’s behind bars for life.

Abigail Friend

Thanks Mike!

Is there a reason you are being cruel? If you have a point as to why children shouldn't be taught to clean their rooms, I'm all ears. Mike even did a different video where he pointed out the extreme mess in one of the playrooms. I'm not sure why teaching your children to clean up after themselves would be *bad* parenting. I don't think being "fun" is the point to all interactions with your kids. Failing to teach responsibility sets them up for a lot of struggles. Honestly, it's the main point to feminist arguments that men can't clean up after themselves, and have traditionally not been taught how to clean, as children, because it's "for women." If it's such a problem in that case, why is it okay in this case?

Kay Smith

Mike is just one giant wink.

W M

I'm guessing you weren't the fun mom...

My friend agrees. The dealer will inevitably be late or change the meet spot. (apparently ) Anyone claiming to make these moves with no phone, has ulterior motives or just isn't being truthful .

LucyFrenchfry

Another child abused and taken away. What a horrible person. Thankfully, he's behind bars for the rest of his life. RIP Riley

Who the hell goes to meet their drug dealer without their phone? Speaking for a friend, one needs their phone in case (at one extreme) the dealer needs to contact them to tell them it's too hot. At the other end, what if the dealer is with his family or has company over? One wants to maintain a good relationship with their dealer at all costs. Yeah, having one's phone on them is a no-brainer. Anyone who doesn't is almost assuredly lying - says my friend.

Laura Jane

Couldn't agree with you more Mike, what a tragic story and a waste of a beautiful girl who could of gone on to do amazing things, Andy is definitely an oxygen thief that should of been put down. R.I.P beautiful Riely 🕊♥️

Courtney Tunbridge

No wink?!?!?

Catherine DeWitt

Thank you so much, Mike. Hope you are having a great weekend too

James Herington

That was so good, Mike! Your brilliant gifts only get brighter & it's so great to watch you & your comfort level evolve! Thank you, thank you, thank you! 😁 👏👏🥰

Amy Bellamy

Did Mike just make me cry? Man you choking up at the end of this video. Felt like giving you a hug! Thank you as always for giving a voice to these tragic victims. Given what I now do as a job, I have taken a huge step backwards from the entire true crime genre. But you (and Adrian!) are the exception. This hit me in the feels this one. Massive e-hugs to all of the That Chapter fam 💚💚💚

That Titanic Girl (Lara)

Thank you Mike!

I disagree about teen bedrooms. They're only messy if your teen isn't taught how to clean up after themselves, or they aren't taught to be responsible with their belongings. That room wasn't just messy - it was disgusting. Separately, I'm really heartbroken that she was that scared, and didn't think to call for emergency services. She only quietly messaged her boyfriend. I'm not blaming her; I understand. I just wish more people felt they could actually call for help. I know quite a few stories where people don't call emergency services even when it really is an emergency. I feel like it's some kind of societal failing that people don't want to call for help.

Kay Smith

Love ya, Mike! 🙋‍♀️

Joy Burton

You too Mike

Swifty

You look like you're having a lot more fun than me, Mike.
