I think in cases such as this, people love to slam all the blame on the woman.. you know, the classic "femme fatale" trope, while entirely forgetting the role of the man. Regardless of who planned what, I'm surprised to see so much sympathy for Glenn, he sort of gets painted as the hapless fool here but in reality, we're talking about someone who murdered a man in cold blood and and attempted to beat a woman to death, both of whom had done absolutely nothing to him. There's a lot to be talked about here but you just can't explain that away by saying he is naïve. As for Biannca.. what real evidence do they have against her? Most of it could be explained in another context, there's certainly no "red handed" exhibit.. it seems all speculation and circumstantial apart from the testimony of three lowlife criminals. You do have to ask yourself, why one Earth would she ever admit the alleged "plan" to some guy that she's only been dating for two weeks, who I might add just came off an eight stretch for attempted murder.. and why would she admit (while waiting on trial) to two prisoners stories about "kinky sex for murder" when her freedom depends on her upcoming trial. It just reeks to me. Jailhouse testimonies are of course, highly unreliable.. I always take them heavily salted. I find they're often used as a last resort, when there isn't enough evidence to convict.. generally these convicts are scum and will tell lies about people for a day out of prison.. and they'll tell what people want to hear, usually sordid tales like we see here.. and of course, people see it as scandalous and/or funny. Just like something you might read in those daily rag newspapers, people will lap it up with a giggle. I could go on about this case all day but I'll just say I'm stunned how a court ever found this woman guilty, even after three trials (that speaks volumes in itself). That said, wouldn't be the first time I was surprised by the Australian justice system. There are a number of high profile Australian prisoners serving life sentences who I fully believe are innocent.
