Thanks Mike, that last story always gets to me. Poor little girl.

I'm not surprised Antoinette called local police. 911 was not in use everywhere in the mid-'80s. I'm a few years younger than her and was taught my local police number as a kid because my city didn't have 911 yet.

Funny how many times in these mysterious disappearances it comes out that the person was having some sort of emotional/mental breakdown just before they vanished. Still doesn't explain exactly what happened, of course! But it makes it all the more intriguing for me. Thanks, Mike, for all your work on these great videos!

Thanks, Mike! About knowing the police number by heart: our emergency number is, as you know, 112, since it's the same all through the EU. But the Lisbon (which is th portuguese capital and where I live) police has been clever. Although the number itself is easy to memorize - 21 765 42 42 (21 being the city prefix) -, it also spells 21POLICIA on the numbers of a mobile phone ("polícia" meaning "police", of course). There's a piece of information to anyone who wants to visit. Love ya!

I think you may have a point there. That would explain many things. First of, why would she stop in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night: because a police officer ordered her too. Why had she reverse her car into the house? Because the police car was blocking her way and she thought of going back to where she was coming from - hence the headlights and turn lights on. Why would she be running from a police officer? Probably because he came aggressively at her or even tried to yank her of the car... And then she crashed onto the house, and before she could move the car forward the cop really yanked her off the car. Poor Brianna!

Nothing better than a day off with the pups and a fresh episode of That Chapter.
