The pair were seasoned veterans of the Normandy's unique sexual culture and were highly sought after as lovers, even by the Commander. This meant they ended up in similar circles, and positions often which only led to them being fast friends...and even lovers eventually.
Still, there was no one they'd rather hold hands with during a visit to pound town.
Fuck you Bioware for only letting me have this team in a post-game DLC with no dialogue. It was like ONE of THREE things I wanted in ME3 and you didn't give it to me.
