Miranda loved showing off. Her confidence was unhsakeable, when it came to her abilities. So naturally after the Collector base, she took the challenge of holding a biotic bubble seriously. If Jack could do it under duress so could she. But without seeker swarms she needed another source of 'stress' to test her. So she turned to a tried and true method. Holding a bubble while getting her cheeks clapped. Needless to say, she believes she would've help against the swarm since she held against the swarmers being pumped inside her, if you know what she means.
