Just confirmed that we will be having legendary Limited master and PT HoFer Mike Turian on the show as a guest tonight! Mike is legitimately one of the best Limited players of all time, and I thought I would open a thread for questions to our loyal patrons :)

What about Limited Magic do you think you get right, but most of your peers don't?

2016-09-08 00:22:16 +0000 UTCHi Mike. You have an admirable reputation as both a fierce competitor and an absolute gentleman. I respect that greatly, but it's not always a combo I see a lot in the community. How do you balance your intense desire to win with good manners, especially in the face of (a) taking an unusually bad beat, (b) an unpleasant opponent, or (c) both of the above? Thanks.

2016-09-07 19:55:27 +0000 UTCHow have you found the shift in limited strategy from when you started playing professionally to now? Do you think it's more skill testing?

2016-09-07 19:52:44 +0000 UTCHow do you evaluate a format when the full spoiler is published but before you have chance to play with the cards?

2016-09-07 19:41:21 +0000 UTCMike! (and others), how do you approach splashing a card or two in draft? What are the factors that influence your decision and which are the most important to consider? Here are some things I think of: -Where on my deck's curve the splash card lies (higher picks are easier to splash etc) -How many hard colors does it have? -Does it shore up any of my decks weakensses (ie splashing for a missing bomb or removal spell) -How good does a card have to be to almost force me to splash for it, or can a card even be that good? -If I have a good amount of fixing already, do I look for good cards to splash, or vice versa (like if you have a great first pick that you had to swap colors away from will you look for fixing to splash it back into the deck?) Thanks for all the great content, keep it up! -PS I saw Marshal and LSV coming back to the Hotel my friends were at during PAX but you looked kinda worn out and it was super late so I thanked you for making LR subliminally instead of haranguing you 8-)

2016-09-07 19:40:18 +0000 UTCWhat is your advice for a player that's only been playing for about a year and wants to improve at drafting? I play mostly on MTGO, so do you think it is better to play the new "Swiss style" draft leagues than an 8-4 to ensure I get 3 matches, or is it "strictly better" to just play against the best competition available at the risk of crashing out in round 1?

2016-09-07 19:37:45 +0000 UTCMarshall + Mike + LSV, Huge fan of LR, always have been, always will be! My question for Mike: How do you adjust your expectations for a Limited environment which is very obviously ramped up in power level (see: Kaladesh) to make sure your evaluations are more in line with how games will actually play out? Even more importantly, how do you balance your evaluations knowing there will be plenty of great artifacts which can slot into any archetype and do work? Do you always take them over a powerful, on color card? Thanks, guys!

2016-09-07 19:25:41 +0000 UTCHow do you first approach a new set? Do you look for sinergies, power or consistency?
Celso Távora
2016-09-07 19:23:45 +0000 UTCMike, Do you feel as though you made the right decision leaving the PT scene to join Wizards? How did you/do you translate your PT success into game design? Thanks!

2016-09-07 19:21:57 +0000 UTCHow different is it to analyze Limited within Wizards compared to "in the wild"?
