2016-12-24 00:26:36 +0000 UTCWhat is your thought process when deciding how many mana sources of a color is sufficient? What factors influence your decision, and what are your common heuristics (e.g. - at least 8 sources for a turn-2 play, or 9 sources for a 3RR card, that sort of thing)?

2016-12-23 22:25:20 +0000 UTCWhich type of limited environment does Owen favor? Fast and aggressive or slow and eventual and why?

2016-12-23 22:21:18 +0000 UTCWhat is the most pervasive thought that other players have that you think is limiting skill?
Shelby Doolittle
2016-12-23 21:16:36 +0000 UTCHow much value do you give a bomb in a sealed pool? I was recently in a sealed event and opened one but the rest of the color was essentially unplayable except one or two cards that were fine. I thought about splashing but the casting cost had two symbols of its color. When do you decide not to play a bomb or should you just play it?

2016-12-23 21:07:44 +0000 UTCOwen! How does it feel to have the greatest twitter handle of all time?

2016-12-23 20:18:23 +0000 UTCCan you share your most memorable moment of Magic success (other than induction, grats btw) and failure?

2016-12-23 20:14:18 +0000 UTCCongrats on being inducted into the HOF Owen! As one of the game's greats, do you have any heuristics you can share with us regarding mulligan decisions. Since you play so many formats at such a high level (and in some cases it's required to go from format to format (World Champ, ProTour, etc.)), does your in-game mindset change significantly from format to format? How do you get yourself "in the zone" for optimum limited performance? Thanks for taking the time to answer.

2016-12-23 20:04:10 +0000 UTCCrucial question for Owen here, do you like the drawing channelfireball uses for you on the tokens it sends out with orders. Serious question and it's one the guys probably could answer but since you're here I'll ask you. I notice most pros wait to crack their fetch lands especially evolving wilds until their opponents end step. It makes sense at the start of the game to disguise the deck you're playing but do players continue doing it all game for some strategic reason or is it just habit at that point. Also does it provide a significant advantage because I'm always afraid I'll forget to crack it and delay my land drops. Thanks guys love the show, started listening in the last year covered most of the greatest hits suggested on Reddit, now going back to episode one to listen to them all.

2016-12-23 19:58:40 +0000 UTCWOW guys!So many good questions this week! :) I have a basic one: what makes you come to the shows? Is it Marschal's charm (5 color-one ;) ) or widsom-sharing driven?
Janusz Okoń
2016-12-23 19:58:14 +0000 UTCI like that question as it's broader than Frontier :)

2016-12-23 19:56:38 +0000 UTCWhat KLD draft archetype do you have the most wins with? Which one do you have the most fun with?

2016-12-23 19:55:01 +0000 UTCThanks for coming on the show Owen! Luis and Marshall sometimes talk about "the sweet point" in a draft format where you feel like you understand the format and also are still having fun with it. What's your typical "sweet point" in a format? And also, what's your sweet point in feeling prepared for a pro tour?
Harrison Little
2016-12-23 19:50:46 +0000 UTCTo me, Kaladesh limited seemed like it was a little too bomb heavy. If you agree, is that why speed and curve seemed better than trying for a more controlling deck in most drafts? When I didn't have a bomb, it certainly felt that pressure was the only way to win.

2016-12-23 19:36:43 +0000 UTCWe've had some awesome build-arounds in the last three draft formats. Which of them did you enjoy drafting most? Do you remember any specific amazing/fun/silly draft decks you had?

2016-12-23 19:34:12 +0000 UTC- How "deep" is "too deep" when going into a strategy? I once drafted a deck with 5 reckless fireweaver and 3 Gearseeker serpents, so i ran every single artifact I could, even off-color puzzleknots (deck was insanely fun to play). - Are there any mental checks I should keep in mind when drafting to make me go "woah ok, let's rein that in a little bit and take a safe pick for the sake of being able to actually play Magic" - In the past, most burn spells had the flexibility of letting me choose a creature or player. Nowadays, most premium red burn hits creatures only (Welding Sparks and Harnessed Lightning for example). Is there a point where I'd hit diminishing returns drafting these type of cards since they no longer have the reach of hitting the opponent? How many "doom blades" is too many?

2016-12-23 19:31:34 +0000 UTCWhat format would you like to see supported by wizards for competitive play that doesn't already?

2016-12-23 19:28:10 +0000 UTCI was wondering if Owen could talk about how he goes about deck building for tournaments. I know he works with teams like Team CFB, but does he come up with any deck lists of his own? Or does he side with the opinions of his teammates? Big fan, thank you!

2016-12-23 19:27:32 +0000 UTCIf you could play magic against any historical figure, and they were as good as any player you know, who would it be and why?
