I felt the format was great but people I know werent that high on it due to snow feeling unbalanced. I personally felt like the format was amazing. Looking forward to the newest one coming soon. Hope all is well.

I have started to come around to it after a couple successful drafts, but it feels like success with the archetype is a steep hill to climb. I know the LR guys are pretty down on it, I was just curious if you had a different perspective.

Would such a set have enough of an audience on its own to sell well? Or are sets like Conspiracy the closest we can get?

It was, by far, the most fun i've ever had engaging with a Limited Format. Sealed and Draft were both delightfully complex formats, rewarding both the disciplined drafter and the... shall we say, more creative approach... to deckbuilding! Is there anything about Modern Horizons Limited you're particularly proud of? Tom, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on FIRE design and how it relates specifically to Limited. How much was FIRE talked about during your tenure at WotC? Do you think that Limited as a format is in a better place since the implementation of FIRE philosophy? And (sorry for all the questions, guys) finally, what lessons, if any, did you take away from being directly involved with making this game we all love so much? I hope that's enough stuff to riff off of, guys. Thanks again to both of you for all you do for the community. Best/Derek

2021-05-21 05:15:32 +0000 UTCAs a long time listener trying to always apply your lessons, I feel frustrated being stuck in the platinum ranks on Arena, especially since Marshall and Luis have said it's not that hard to hit Mythic. Lately, I've been upset at myself for not trophy-ing every draft, but noticed that I was still consistently going 4-3. Should I be glad that I'm going positive, or embarassed I can't clear platinum as a listener of the show?
