A little head's up ...

… that we (unfortunately) are not meeting the community goal for Patreon extra strips anymore at the moment.

The reason is that for the past two months we’ve had one patron that was making a big donation which greatly helped to meet that goal, but unfortunately that patron has left us. I do not know the reason, might be the new Patreon tax or that he just moved on to other projects. This is not a complaint – we’ve enjoyed the unexpected big support that helped us reach the goal two months in a row.

Why do we need a community goal at all for Patreon extra strips?

The reason why I put in that goal is because this webcomic is my hobby. Like most hobbies, it costs money, as I not only have to maintain the webpage, but I am also commissioning Elena Ominetti (our artist) for her work on the comic. The patreon extra strips are on top of the “normal” commissioning fees I already pay. The long term goal for me is for SSS to become self-sustaining so that there will be no costs from me. 

There will still be extra content on Wednesday’s for patrons!

I will still try to post extra pictures or work in progress things on Wednesday’s each week for you! These will mostly be sketches, old pictures or even videos like last week.

Is there anything YOU want?

Is there something that you would like and are currently not getting? This is my very first project on Patreon as well, so I’m glad for any feedback I can get!

We’ll get there!

Finally, I just wanted to say that I’m sure we’ll start the patreon strips up again eventually. SSS is not even a year old, but we already have a steady following and (of course) your amazing support, which means a lot to us. Given time, there will be more patrons coming to us – it’s just going to take a bit of time.
