Hey guys, love the show, it's a highlight of my week. 2 questions: 1) Do you think the long summer gap and disappointment with baldur's gate would have been less of a problem if New Capenna and Neon Dynasty had switched places? Isn't it really just a problem of New Capenna being less replayable? 2) What are your thoughts on Digital-only cards making their way into the Arena Cubes? I really loved the cubes before but I'm not a fan of the digital/rebalanced cards. They still don't feel "real" to me, (much like Un-cards) and I find that their inclusion has soured me a bit on playing cube on Arena. If other people enjoy them, I'm glad they exist but I don't like how they've infiltrated non-Alchemy formats (including Historic Brawl, but that's a question for a different podcast) and made it hard to escape them.

2022-08-30 16:34:17 +0000 UTCHey guys, Sometimes my starting hand's only 2 mana play is an interactive spell - a counter, 2 mana removal, etc. If my opponent's turn 2 play is some mediocre 2/2 creature, should I apply the "use all your mana" heuristic and just kill/counter it, or should I waste my precious turn 2 mana but save my interactive card for a more threatening creature later in the game? Thanks for the show!

2022-07-14 00:30:28 +0000 UTCHow would deckbuilding change if the starting hand size was eight cards instead of seven?

2022-07-13 22:22:38 +0000 UTCCan you discuss the proper way to build a “Build Around” deck? How does such a deck function when you don’t draw your build-around? Thanks so much!

2022-07-13 22:18:15 +0000 UTCYou and Luis often talk about how cool it would be to have less information when you draft at a pro tour. What would you think about a curated chaos draft as the format?

2022-07-13 21:53:37 +0000 UTCIs there a colour pair you think is a bit stale as far as limited? is there a colour pair you’d like to see WotC use differently than normal more often? (Eg: UR tribal wizards more often, spells matter less often)

2022-07-13 21:35:00 +0000 UTCHello LR team, thanks very much for helping make my 2+ hour commute more manageable! I’m curious what you heavily invested limited players do when a set falls flat for you. I returned to MTG during Dominaria, and I immediately fell in love with limited. I think I’ve been pretty spoiled by some excellent draft environments over the last few years. But recently AFR and SNC just have not held much interest for me. What do you do when you want to play but don’t want to play the current set?

2022-07-13 21:34:33 +0000 UTCHello fellas! Much love to Marshall, Luis, & P. Jeff, appreciate all you do for us Magic lovers. I really enjoy the "Old Set Reviews" with Old Timers Luis & TBS, and now that we have reached the point where sets were designed with Limited in mind, I've got a question. In addition to discussing the role the set played in Magic's history, could we get a general breakdown of what archetypes (if any) were seeded into the set for drafters? That was the only thing I felt was missing from the Mirage/Visions episode. Thanks again, much love from Virginia

2022-07-13 21:27:16 +0000 UTCBig fan of the show -- it's the only podcast I listen to, and it has increased my enjoyment of Magic enormously. Thank you both so much. For both Marshall and Luis: What factors do you take into account when deciding whether to use a removal spell on a fairly average creature early on in the game, versus saving it to remove a bigger threat later? Sometimes I regret having "wasted" removal that I wish I still had later when the bomb hits the table. Other times I end up holding it, and then having to use it on the average creature anyway, and wish I'd saved myself a turn or two of damage from it by using it earlier. I'm sure I'm making these decisions poorly, and would appreciate any heuristics you can share. For Marshall: Is there any crossover between watches and Magic? For example, using a GMT bezel to track your life total?

2022-07-13 21:25:52 +0000 UTCHello Marshall & Luis. I have recently started a Magic club on our programming campus and it's going preety well, with a lot of old and new players discovering the game. My question is, ¿What is the best lesson to teach to a starting player? Thank you and keep up the great work!

2022-07-13 21:21:13 +0000 UTCOne more cheeky question, just in case you don't get enough! If you could have Wizards rerelease a single set/block with modern templating and errata so that we could all play it which set/block would you choose?

2022-07-13 21:18:49 +0000 UTCHey guys! Two related questions for you. What lesson have you learned from your experiences playing Magic that you find most valuable while playing Magic? And what lesson have you learned from your experiences playing Magic that you find most valuable in the rest of your life? Love your work, please keep being awesome.

2022-07-13 21:12:07 +0000 UTCHi Marshall, Hi Louis, I've recently created my first cube and it's Unstable set cube. We had a ton of fun drafting it with Our Wild Snakes team (#mtgdads meeting up every Thursday for a game of Magic). What's your view on the silver-border sets? Do you ever draft them and if yes do you like drafting them? Are you going to do any draft from upcoming Unfinity? All the best! Tym

2022-07-13 21:11:29 +0000 UTCWith many of the recent sets having 1-drops that are actually playable, what effect do these cards have on Limited in general? Does the increased speed make controlling archetypes less viable, or does it simply give them more to do in early turns (closer to how those decks work in constructed)? Do you view this as a positive trend? Love the show, and my Magic game has leveled up tremendously since I started listening to this show a few years ago. Thank you guys for all of your help!
