Wednesday's WIP #47 - The sextective's hat

Today for WIP I wanted to share the layouts for Sextective Babette - mostly because there were a few iterations to choose from.
Originally I asked Elena for a POV (because that's something we haven't done yet), but also said it's not a must, so she came up with two sketches to choose from, with hat variations.
I think if we went for the POV version I would have taken the hat, but in the other version (which I liked better because it told a better story) the hat would have obstructed a bit too much of Babette's face.
What do you think? Did I make the right call?

I like the POV view myself. I think it's mostly because of her eyes. They way she is looking at you in the POV picture is pretty intense. As for hat or no hat, I could go either way. The hat makes it fun, but for me it's all about those eyes.
