What is this?

This is going to seem so bizarre without knowing what the hell this cartoon is about I just realised.

I've made a good start on the next cartoon already with an early showing for you all early next week! This video and the next one are just a couple of short cartoons before I pick up the exclusive tut again so stay tuned for that. I've had a good break now so am well up for continuing that tutorial vid that I've been promising to Patrons for a lil while now.

For now check out the attached sneak peek stuff, got some desk jumping rough animation and lineart to show roughly how I plan out an action sequence.

For the fast moving background I just drew some lines out envisioning tiles on a ceiling and how the perspective of those tiles would line up with some red guide lines; I also threw in some very simple blocks moving along which will eventually become the desks in the background.

With the background in place I then draw out what is essentially a ball or scribble to plan out the movement, I keep it as rough and simple as possible so I can very rapidly trial and error the movement; once the movement is down I then apply the actual character design to it.

As for the other backgrounds, I've gone for a much simpler design to save time. I really enjoyed the photoshop lighting I added in a couple previous cartoons but it's too much work to manage tbh so I'm keeping it quick and simple for the most part from now on. (the orange bg is unfinished but with the colours added)

Not much of this cartoon left to do so will be back soon with an early showing of that ;)
