5 mana 5/4 flyer with built in "draw a card" but brainstorm is generally better, and it can draw 1-3 cards as it dies (3 or more damage to the opponent is also sort of a card and the black lotus of mana you get to cast it is also like a card) if your deck is either stacked from the brainstorm or otherwise cooperates. As long as Dimir isn't total junk in the format this is probably worth first picking and seeing if you can make Dimir work in your draft.

As far as MOM goes, this seems like a good gold rare legendary in a sea of good gold rare legendaries. It fits the Dimir spells archetype. The gold signpost for that archetype looks sweet BTW — it essentially lets you flash back a spell from *any* graveyard on ETB using generic mana.
