Hey guys! I’m currently watching the top 8 of worlds (which is prerecorded), how does commentating on a prerecorded game differ from a live game? Do they hide the outcomes from you? Thanks for all you guys do!

Kelsey Ito

Hi guys, So, with Lord of the Rings winding down and Wilds of Eldraine on the horizon I wanted to ask, what was you all's overall feeling of having a limited format with no planeswalkers? I have to admit that I kind of liked it.

James Gardiner

Hi guys, I wondered if you had any tips on staying focused while playing online. I have a tendency to get distracted with the internet at my fingertips and lose my train of thought in games. Is there anything that works for you?

Michael Torres

Hey Marshall and Luis. I've been watching a bunch of team drafts on Luis's YouTube channel, and I noticed the cube they use seems to offer several more initiative cards than the mtgo one. I know Luis doesn't design the cube, but I imagine if he hated this he'd talk about it during the drafts (shout out to Ruin Grinder), so I was curious if he had any updated thoughts on the mechanic after cubing with so much of it daily.

Hey Marshall and LSV, I've recently gotten back into playing Magic competitively and have qualified for the Regional Championship in Atlanta. I'm nervous as I haven't played in a big event like this since GPs back in the day and never at an invitational event where I know everyone there will be a top-notch player. What advice do you have for big events like this in terms of logistics and keeping your cool?

David Dillon

Hey Marshall and LSV, for someone who is relatively new to draft and limited (less than 100 total drafts) and plays primarily on Arena, at what point is there a diminishing return playing Quick Draft vs. Premier Draft? I got back into MTG a couple of years ago and became obsessed with limited after listening to LR for quite some time. I use Quick Draft to better my deckbuilding skills and understanding of the cards but ultimately it doesn’t quite capture the experience of drafting as a whole for me. I play premier draft when I can but am limited with resources (gold and gems) at times. Thanks so much for all you do and listening to LR really brightens my day!

Evan Hobson

Hi Ms Lsv, huge fan of the show, thanks for everything you do for the community. I have a simple question, maybe a bad one, but one I've struggled to answer at times. How do you know when you are having fun?

Nathan S

Hi Marshall and Luis, I tried my hand at MTGO's Vintage cube recently, and I found myself losing to the timer frustratingly often. Hopefully this will be less of a problem as I get more familiar with the cards and play patterns -- but in the meanwhile, do you have any tips for wringing a few precious seconds from the match clock? Thanks for everything you do, really enjoy the show.

Joy

For the sunset show, is Basic Forest going to be your pick for “card that when you see it you must win or quit Magic forever”?

Andy Brookshire

Hi Marshall and Luis: the podcast focuses on draft portion of the draft but very little about actually playing the games out, In the past you said it's impossible to talk about what the optimal play is without knowing the exact situation, cards in hand, deck construction etc. But I have an idea: 17lands provides a way to send a link to the entire game (with access to your deck, but not your opponents). It would be really awesome for the 2 of you to walk through a recorded game and comment on the moves a player took. I am happy to volunteer my own misplays to the cause :D Thanks for the awesome podcast.

Ula Krukar

Limited drafting seems to be very well supported these days, but is there anything you wish WOTC would do differently?

Raymond Russell

Gentlemen (and Luis), You both talk a lot about using Magic principles in your daily lives. Luis, being a Dad for a second time now, what tricks or habits have you picked up? I know that time disappears when there's a wee one in the house, so I'm curious how you've used efficiency to your advantage.

Francesco Ortenzo

International question! What do you think the other (than American/Canadian) magic cultures have brought to the game? The Japanese, French, Czech, Brazilians… just to name a few. Love the work, greetings from Paris.

Guillaume Darmouni

Hello Gents, I'm having this tradition of running a birthday draft with my friends for my birthday party and last time we tried team draft. It was a total mess (at least for me). I went 0-3 and my team lost the whole draft. Any advise how to aproach a team draft to make it first of all fun and secondly how to be successful in a team draft? Thanks again for everything you're doing and wish you all the best! Tym

Tymoteusz Cudny

Hey guys. Lotr limited has its ups and downs for me. Compared to recent draft formats, where would you rank this one on the curve power level wise? Has the limited environment lived up the hype you had? Is there anything you would change from the format, problem wise? Thanks as always and hopefully I can give lsv better IPA games next time!

David Bruno

How do you balance curve balance vs power level? For example, sometimes when I get down to my last few cuts I’ll notice I might have a bunch of 3 and 5 drops, but only a few 4 drops and I am not sure if it’s better to cut a card that may be a little better in a heavily filled spot to maintain a better curve distribution or if it’s worth having a gap in the curve to play slightly better cards. Thanks to you and Louis for all the help over the years!

Josh

Hello Limited Resources! After learning about drafting the hard way, I've started to think about how to apply some of those principles to other parts of my life; mainly, taking a very mindful approach to things rather than going on autopilot or leaning on bad habits. For example, I'm a musician and I often think deeply about how to play my instruments "the hard way" in order to continually improve my playing. Are there any other facets of your life that you've learned to approach "the hard way"? As always, thank you for doing this show! I find that I improve continually as I listen to this show, including finally Day 2ing an Arena Open during MOM!

Clay Arroco

I’ve played magic on and off for the past decade and I have always loved drafting. In my experience through the years, I’ve always struggled knowing when to pivot my colors during a draft. I will try to take single color cards early when practical to stay open but I struggle to determine in later picks if a pack was just strong or if a color is open. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Matt Giron

Marshall and LSV - love the podcast. It definitely helped me level up my drafting, deckbuilidng, and card evaluation - though I tend to love playing grixis colors too much even if they aren’t open. But I’m realizing that I’m hot garbage at game play. Any general tips on processes for improving in-game decisions, or maybe an old LR episode you can recommend in that topic? Thank you!

Jonathan Montgomery

Hello guys! I use MTG arena mostly to get to know the cards and interactions so I can play at FNM and brewery drafts with friends. How much should the 17lands.com data effect card evaluation for in person pod drafting? I assume it is relevant, but feels less important than reading the table. Any insights? Kyle
