Ultimate Guard
Grading Scale Overview
A: Bombs. Game winners. Good in many situations (especially when behind). Best cards in set. Hyper efficient spells. (Gruff Triplets, Virtue of Persistence)
B: Cards that actively pull you toward their colors. Often headliners for a set, go-to cards and reasons to be in a color/clan/guild. Solid removal usually falls here too. (Tough Cookie, Werefox Bodyguard)
C: Playable. These are the pawns of Limited. Fairly interchangeable, you need some amount of these for your deck. Also mediocre removal fits here, as well as many combat tricks. (Rat Out, Hamlet Glutton)
D: Sometimes playable, would prefer to not run them. Mediocre to junky cards, maybe situational, maybe with a high setup cost. They make the cut but you arenβt thrilled with it. ~Bad removal usually goes here too. (Protective Parents,Rimefur Reindeer)
F: Unplayable in virtually all scenarios. Incredibly narrow cards fit here too, or cards with super rough mana costs. (Eerie Interference,Virture of Knowledge)
Sideboard - Cards that rarely if ever make the main deck, but can be very powerful out of the sideboard. We have a separate grade for these since they are either A/B or F quality depending on what the matchup is. (Spider Food)
Buildaround - These are cards that are typically not good enough on their own, but if properly built around they can be all-stars. (Hatching Plans)
