Big patreon overhaul (please read)

Hi all,

our Patreon is getting a massive overhaul! There is a long list of reasons, which I will go into detail at the bottom of the page. The important thing for you is that all current tiers are off-boarded (which means that no new patrons can join them), while you can still stay where you are until you decide where you want to switch to.

The reward structure is renewed, but for the month of April, I will still send out the rewards as I did previously. Starting with May, I will post rewards according to the new tier structure:

$2 - Early acceSSS

This will be the new entry level tier that gives early access to the comic. The early access will now also bring you the comic a week in advance instead of a day, giving you a bigger head start on what our heroines are up to!

$5 - ExtraSSS

This tier ontains the additional R-rated rewards, like the patreon extra strips, the WIP posts (unless they are from adult content), any additional artwork we post, layouts, line arts and scripts. Unlike before, this level will also give you access to a folder where you can then see ALL the regular comics and extra strips in high res instead of getting incremental updates sent out each month.

$10 – SSSpicy

This will be the new tier for any adult content. You get at least two colored adult pages and voting rights for upcoming content. There will also be more content (like the Carlotta commission from Albo) and content from the next tier (see below). Like with the extras tier, you will get access to a folder with all high res adult contents already aired up to that moment!

$30 – CommiSSSion (Limit: 2)

For every two consecutive pledges, you will get a full-color SSS digital commission made by Elena!

You will get a one-or-two person scene with standard background. We reserve the right to decline requests based on topic. One of the characters should be from the SSSverse and please no licensed characters from franchises. (And yes, Tina will still be off limits until further notice.)

We will share the image on Patreon (anonymously) and you will get a high res, low res image as well as layout sketch and lineart.

These commissions can be NSFW or SFW as per your choice!

Why these changes?

There are several reasons and the biggest one is that I did not set my Patreon page up properly to begin with.

There was not enough distinction between most of the tiers, for one. Also, as I added the adult content, I should have put it on its own tier right away, if only to give people the option whether to watch them or not. Currently I am forcing all backers to get adult content, whether they want to see it or not. I also never added legal disclaimers to ensure viewers are at least 18 years of age.

The pricing is structured based on professional suggestions made to me. If you currently can’t (or do not want to) afford some of the higher tiers, you can stay on a lower tier and bump it up when the time is right for you. This will give you access to ALL the extras posted previously, so you will not miss out on anything, though we will try to post enough content to keep you on these tiers!

I am switching to charge up front instead of end-of-month charging, mostly because there were some people who were “ghosting” me (coming in during the month and then opting out before they get charged). There is the option of me just blocking these users so they can’t do it again and again, but I think that this is the easier way. This will not affect you until you decide to change your memebership level to a higher tier.

The (hopefully) good news is that this change should put us in reach of the community goal to bump SSS to three updates a week instead of two updates, giving you more comics!

I am doing SSS as a hobby, but that also means that I am rightfully paying Elena for the great work she is doing. While I currently can afford this, I want to ensure that SSS will stay stable in the future. The best way forward is to ensure that the comic is at least “paying for itself”. To put it into perspective, I currently spend over 300 $ each month on this project.

I am also looking into the possibility of creating the comic in full color instead of the current black and white with halftones. Once I know more about the potential costs, I will put up a new community goal for this!
