A multiplayer hack-and-slash game commonly called "Counterstrike with swords," Chivalry 2 is currently free or on sale on almost all platforms with cross-platform play (I do not know how successfully this works). The 64 player brawler is on it's way to crossing the 5M player mark, making it one of the most successful games of it's type, with strong 9/10 reviews. The fighting is inspired by Monty Python and The Lord of the Rings, so imagine that.
