We're Turning 2 - Mid-May Crubletter

That's right, our weird little podcast baby is turning 2 on the 26th. It's catching us at a fun time, a good portion of us have been busy sorting (positive) personal affairs and taking on more work to keep our output coming as we navigate those things behind the scenes. All of this with most of us also prepping to attend TooManyGames in a month's time. We're busy! We're still making some time to celebrate though, don't worry. Tentatively we're planning to do a celebratory stream on May 20th at 7 PM Eastern, our usual live Crubcast time. Don't expect anything too special (again, busy), but we will be there!

Speaking of being busy, I don't remember if this has been shared in a newsletter or not so I'm taking this chance to say it just in case. Our content schedule is adjusting beginning on the 26th. Full audio versions of the Crubcast will begin releasing on Mondays at 7 AM Eastern at that time. This way you have the entire week to listen on your commute instead of it hitting right before the weekend. If you are a weekend listener, it will still be there for you this way as well. We'll still have a video every Friday at noon Eastern on our YouTube, but it may not always be the entire episode going forward. We occasionally may take a good 20-minute chunk or dedicated topic from an episode and opt to just upload that instead. Our entire stream VODs will still be accessible through our Patreon so there will still always be a way to catch the entire video version. And hey, maybe sometimes the entire episode will still go up!

We'll also be taking the next few Tuesdays to release some of our Patreon content from the vault. We love making things for our Crubscribers, but don't love how difficult it is to communicate what we do to others with a paywall in the way. We may do this sporadically in the future as well. Hell, maybe we'll even throw one here a day early as thanks for reading our newsletter. Who could say? Fuck it, have another. I think that's all of our housekeeping. I've probably forgotten something important.

Speaking of content that exists, a 2-hour interview between Moriarty, Kevin, and Trav went up today. It's a little more "serious" than our usual fare, going into each other's YouTube journeys and asking some inside baseball questions that we don't generally get to talk about! This will be our 2-year anniversary episode on the 26th in the audio realm, and the 3 separate interviews will be going up over time on our YouTube channel. But if you want the entire thing at once in video form, this is for you!

Speaking of content that exists, a 2-hour Spyro level ranking video with me and Brody will be going up next week. We sat down with the intent of ranking the entire PS1 trilogy that evening...then realized we were the two worst possible choices on the planet to do that in a short amount of time. So instead, we're going game by game. We've recorded Spyro 2's already and it went just short of 4 hours. That...yeah, that feels bad to process. We've accidentally created some of the most in-depth Spyro content on the internet, so please look forward to it and validate our correct opinions.

Thief Gold won our poll for this month's Book Crub! We haven't locked down a date yet (again, busy), so you've got some time to play it before joining us the call in our Discord! Personally, I may wait for Thief HeartGold.

I can tell by the look in your eyes. You say "That's great, guy who writes the Crub newsletter, but those hours of content aren't enough. I need more videos to have on while I play Battleborn to grind out the battlepass." Fine, fine. Trav uploaded his review of Doom: The Dark Ages. Over on FTCR I've started up our playthrough of Sonic Riders. Kevin also uploaded an hour long retrospective of God of War III recently. After I'm done typing this, I'm going to get to work on editing his next video. It will likely be in the next newsletter. Is that not enough for you? How much more content do you need?!
