March 3rd, 2025 - Crub Weekly Newsletter

Happy March! We have some madness prepared for you this month, and only half of us know sports so we can't think of too many sport puns to tease this one out for longer.

This Wednesday at 7 PM Eastern time, we execute Brody live on stream if BRACKETBALL goes on for longer than 3 hours! If you're in our Discord you may have seen us announce this and postpone it. Brody, Sean, Justin, Kevin, and Chris will be determining which of like 3 million video game basketball teams can take the win. We'll weigh strengths, we'll weigh weaknesses, and we'll probably wind up hating each other by the end. This will be streamed on our Twitch, so make sure to be there live! (If you can't, it'll be posted here as a VOD for Crubscribers)

Speaking of Crubscribers, as we mentioned last week our Shinkai review series reached its (temporary) end for now. Justin and Chris have gone through Makoto Shinkai's major works and given each a fair shake, finally coming back to Your Name to cap things off. If you've watched this movie but have never watched his other films, we'd recommend doing so and then listening to our series as you do. We're a bit biased, though.

Next Monday for Crubscribers (don't say we don't give you a lot!), on a whim Brody and Chris booted up the first Putt-Putt game after they were done with Freddi Fish 1. Putt-Putt goes into a literal fireworks factory, a dog pushes a button, and somehow they both launch onto the moon and have to find their way back. That...yeah, that about sums it up.

That's about it for us this week, we're in the crub mines toiling away on group plans as well as our own individual upload plans. We've mentioned it in a preshow so we'll float it here as a reminder, within the next couple of months we'll be offsetting our podcast upload schedule. We're currently aiming to set new audio episodes to come out on Mondays, that way everyone has them for the week ahead for commutes and the like. For crubscribers, you can expect to still get them early closer to the end of a given week. We love Fridays, but we know no one listens to podcasts on the weekend (except you, person reading this who said "Hey, I do!". We love you and only you).
