Ni'ev part 6

It’s my birthday! Grateful to have shared another year with you guys 😘

It has been two days, and my back is ready to divorce the rest of my body. I’ve crawled for hours through these vents from hell, and the only stretching I get is when I enter the storage room to eat. My hips are bruised from constant scraping and bumping. Other than almost getting caught by hissing too loudly from a particular scratch, my trip down the rabbit hole has been uneventful.

I haven’t seen much more of Ni’ev, and I’m too embarrassed to hunt him down. I fear that the lustful heat of my body will radiate, and he will sense it. I’m lucky his heightened sense of sense of smell isn’t great on the ship. There’s something about the amount of metal that inhibits it.

My plunge into these men’s life’s has been productive. I caught myself chuckling at a few of their conversations and build some trust, but I’m getting physically exhausted. The strain on my shoulders and back isn’t healthy. Thankfully, the ship will return to Ezron in four days. I just need a break until then— namely, a shower. I don’t smell human anymore. I swear metal curls when I crawl past it.

The two times I snuck into a bathroom, I was in a rush because I was afraid of getting caught. I didn’t get a chance to wash my face or lady bits.

Today, I have my eyes set on a room that doesn’t get any activity. It’s an empty bedroom that no one will miss. When the men are busy in another wing of the ship, I’ll sneak in and reclaim my humanity from layers of filth.

I take a nap, and dream of the kids. I miss the little buggers, and boy, will I have a lot to share with Michelle when I get back. Of course, I’ll skip past the rated R scenes— not that she’ll understand them. The only thing she processes is that if she stares at me for long enough, then she gets fed.

I’ve conditioned an Alien. Pavlov would be proud.

When I wake up, I put my plan into action. I’m bouncing with energy as I slide out of the vent and into the empty room. This vent is located on the floor, and it’s wider than normal, so I have an easy time weaseling my way out.

In the bathroom, I have to assault more knobs and bolts before a stream comes out. I rip my clothes off like Ni’ev is in here and asking me to bend down, and I step under the water.

Sigh. This is utter bliss.

The soap Ezronians use is different. I have to rub blue, shroom-like plants that melt and create studs. The water isn’t as warm as I’d like it to be, but beggars can’t be choosers.

I know I can’t get too comfortable in here, so I begrudgingly rush through my shower and throw on the robes the guys use as towels. I decide to ditch my dirty clothes and just crawl around the vents in this robe. Still, I’ll have to discard of my old clothes.

I’m making sure that there’s no trace of me in the shower, when the grey screen that blocks out the bathtub disappears and a furious Ni’ev stands behind it.

“Rosa!” he booms, and I clutch the robe to my chest.

His tanned face becomes darker, and his clear eyes narrow. Veins bulge from his neck, and I only saw him this feral from a distance when he was training with another male.

I shrink under the intensity of it all.

“What in the Fates do you think you’re doing here? Are you out of your mind? How dare you do something so reckless as sneaking into the ship? I knew something was off because things were going going missing, and I came prepared to find a thief, but you?! I am murderous now that I found you here, female!”

Oh, fuck. His voice makes the water drops that surround us tremble. He’s a foot away from me, but he’s so loud that I feel like he’s inside my chest.

“You are extremely irresponsible, and I am disappointed in you! You had one job, and that was to stay safe in the pyramid! How dare you embark on such ridiculous, dangerous antics!”

He inches closer, and I actually begin to fear for my safety. He’s huge, and colored with rage. I’ve never seen an angry Ezronian this close. The men on Ezron pamper all females and wouldn’t erupt like this.

Something warm trickles down my leg— piss. I pissed myself in fear.

“This stupid, stupid game of yours could have gotten you hurt! What the Mothers were you thinking?”

I’m humiliated by my body’s reactions. There’s too many emotions pumping through me. My eyes water and my bottom lip trembles, but Ni’ev seems to see past it all because he continues to tear into me.

A tear spills right as I push past him and run for my life.

“Rosa!” he calls behind me.

My eyes are dead-set on the vent. It’s dark, warm, and snug in there. Like a protective cocoon that I’ve taken for granted. No one will be around to see my humiliation. Most importantly, Ni’ev won’t be around to keep screaming at me.

I dive for the open vent, and I crawl in. My legs are still out in the open, so Ni’ev has time to grip onto my left ankle.

“Where do you think you are going? I will not let you risk yourself any longer! It is time to stop your games.”

He doesn’t understand that right now he is the one that seems like a risk. I no longer see a calm, respectful, quiet man in him. Today he’s thunder. My fear demands that I get away.

Ni’ev pulls at my ankle, but I kick his chest with my free leg and that gives me enough of a distraction to get away. I slither into the vents like a snake, and I keep crawling until I can’t see light anymore. Unfortunately, Ni’ev’s voice continues to carry throughout.

“I demand that you return this instant, female! I will not compromise on this. You will get injured in there!”

He huffs and puffs for another hour, and I even hear him slam something in the room.

I’m a ball of tension in the vents. I don’t think I can ever crawl into the daylight again. It doesn’t seem safe.

I cry like never before. My body trembles, and my eyes can’t stop tearing. Ni’ev made me feel like a spoiled, inconsiderate, stupid brat. I know what I did was dangerous, but I had good intentions behind it. It was important for me to conquer my fear, but here I am, a failure with piss between her legs.

After an hour of rage, Ni’ev begins to calm down.

“I apologize for exploding. Come out here and let’s talk.”

He repeats the message, but I don’t hear it. It gets lost between the vents and my fear. Ni’ev doesn’t know it, but he just set my discomfort around men on fire. I don’t know if I’ll ever conquer it after what happened in the shower.

“Rosa, please. Let me feed you. I will set you on my lap and play with your hair like you do with the babies. Will this please you?”

I would have taken his offer before he screamed my face off, but now all I can do is curl into an uncomfortable ball and try to calm my sobs.
