Dangerous Games Alternate Scene #3

This alternate scene takes place a little after Ethan enters the room Sera is in during the Eckhart party. She confuses Ethan for something else and demands to know his target. I decided against using this scene, because again I felt that I made the character of Sera too anger prone and hot headed. So much so that she doesn't realize her connection to Ethan right away.

Please enjoy!!!!!

“My target?” Ethan replies confused. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I am what you think I am.”

Faster than humanly possible the woman grabs Ethan by the throat and slams him against the wall.

“Don’t play games with me!” The woman snarls.

“I’m…a thief.” Ethan croaks out. “I swear.”

The woman just stares at Ethan and after a while her angry stare is replaced with one of confusion. She loosens her grip enough to allow Ethan to breath but doesn’t release her hold on him.

As Ethan gasps for air, he tries to comprehend what just happened, this woman’s speed and strength were not normal and just a moment ago her dark violet eyes were glowing.

“Who are you, what’s your name?” She asks.

“Don’t you usually have to introduce yourself before asking someone their name?” Ethan chides, the lack of oxygen having numbed his sense of fear.

“I told you not to play games.” The woman threatens as she leans her face closer to Ethan.

The party mask hid Ethan’s face, but from so close the woman could now see his bright blue eyes, and then something happened. As they looked into each other’s eyes something seemed to pass between them. Ethan didn’t know what to make of it, but the woman seemed to because the next thing he knew she was crushing her lips against his. She tasted of scotch and something sweet that Ethan couldn’t put a finger on, it was intoxicating, and Ethan couldn’t get enough. He opens his mouth for her, and she wastes no time exploring it with her tongue.

A knock on the door them back to their senses.
